Have to Share- TMI

I think all of these fertility drugs that I am taking are really messing with my body - first of all I use to just get AF - no problems at all - not cramping, headaches, bloating - nothing - I would have it for 5 days and that will be that - well fast forward to now - after months of taking fertility drugs - this cycle has been the worst - right now I have such bad cramping - and since I started doing IUI's AF has been different - what I mean is that I spot for three days - have red flow for about two days and then two days of brown - which never happened before and now I can feel when AF is coming, I have the pains, aches - backaches, and bloating - when girls in high school would stay home because of their periods - I always wondered why - now I know why - I feel horrible today.  I bet it is all the drugs - if they are doing this to me now - I wonder what they will do to me in the future.

ugh awful. I used to have the WORST periods. The fist day of it every month I had to stay home. Migrane, severe stomache cramps and vomitting. omg it was awful. Then I got put on birth control to help with it and even after I went off BC last year (lost my med insurance) I was scared the bad ones would come back but they are still 3 days (day 1 spotting, day 2 full on and day 3 spotting then GONE) no cramping no headaches...wonderful! So I am convinced any drug can perminently alter your cycle...so I am sure that's what's causing your problems. (maybe it's because you actually have items to "shed" during your period now..where as before the fertility treatments, your body wasn't producing enough to ched???)

I wonder why IUIs make a difference.  How does your body/hormones know you had one?  I hope it feels better tomorrow.  You always have to wonder about drugs, you never can be sure what they are totally doing to your body.  Since there doesn't seem to be a problem with you, could you try IUIs a few cycles without also being on fertility drugs?  Or do you really need them to give his sperm more targets?

Midol was my friend growing up.  I have only had a few bad periods that made me just want to curl in a ball and never leave the house, and I remember them well. You have all my sympathy.

I agree with Edmo - if the problem is the slow spermies, could you do a few IUIs without drugs?  It might be a thought to bring up at your new RE visit.
