Isn't it sad when you look forward to doc appts just to get out the house? lol Yesterday was my weekly ultrasound and progesterone shot. My cervix was a 2.2 and then I had a contraction and it went to a 1.3 and they put me on the monitor for 30 minutes. My eyes got all watery because I didn't want them to send me back to the hospital. I was lucky enough to get sent home but I'm still on strict bed rest and I thought he would let me start to do things but nope. All is well with little Munchie girl, she weighs like 2.5lbs so about half the size of bag of sugar :)

Anyway on to why I am a thief....One of my friends gave me a site to watch movies and I used it twice this week. As a matter of fact I am watching The Mummy 3 as we speak and I will be watching The Traitor next. I am awful and I deserve a spanking but what else is this bed rest beauty to do?

Last weekend we had a ton of guests and this will weekend we expect a bunch more. My sister and a friend cooked us dinner last Sunday and it was great! I also had friends come over and clean a little and my sister came back yesterday and cleaned the bathroom for me. Hey anything helps these days since I can't do anything myself. I am very grateful for the company and all of the help. I washed my hair yesterday and my little sister flat ironed it for me so I could look halfway decent.

Last night I realized I hadn't looked at how big Munchie is getting in there so I snapped a pic with my camera phone and yup she's gotten bigger :-)

So I had my gestational diabetes test this week and I passed with flying colors. Of course I never had a doubt since I am really not eating any differently now that I am pregnant. I don't eat twice as much and I really haven't gained much weight.

This week my progesterone shot was done by a different nurse and it hurt. I'm still massaging my booty because she hurt me :-(

My mom, one of my sisters and my brother came over yesterday. They cleaned my kitchen which was nice and really needed. Also two of my girls came over and hung out until like 12:30am this morning. They are such good friends and I always enjoy their company. They even gave me a goodie bag with candy, puzzles, pens, and note pads. It was nice to have them around. This morning my godmother sent over a goodie bag with nursing bras and one of my favorite snacks :-)

I'm feeling a little down because my son had his 1st football game today and of course I couldn't go. I'm waiting for him to come home and tell me all about it.

Munchie is doing well but bed rest is taking its toll on my body. That's all for now.

On bed rest that is. I couldn't help it I wanted a Jade home cooked meal sooooooo bad that I just had to.I couldn't help it. I made this bomb ass roasted chicken with basmati rice and gravy and some honey glazed carrots (like candied yams) and cream of wheat bread (tastes like cornbread). Oooooh weee! I'm a happy chick! I did get my son to help me so I wasn't on my feet long at all and I finally got me a real meal! My poor hubby is doing his best but I really wanted to taste my own food.

The pictures aren't the best b/c they are from my cell phone but you get the idea. I even went back for seconds!

It Is Friday?

My days are all mixed up since I am not at work any more. Anyway, so I had my first progesterone shot this morning and I only have 11 more weeks of shots. Boy I tell you if it's not one thing it's another. My bottom is a little sore from the shot but I know I will get used to them as time goes on. Now this Tributaline medicine is kicking my butt! It makes me all dizzy and my heart starts beating all fast...I hope they let me get off of it next week.

This weekend I will have lots of guests so I gotta make myself look like something. Other than that I'm doing ok and little Munchie is staying put for now. Only 15 more weeks to go.

Staying Positive

So last night we spent some time in Labor & Delivery to be monitored to see why I was having pressure in my pelvic area. I got my first catheter and the person that came up with that crap should be stoned! They discovered I had a UTI which was causing the pressure so more medicine for me. I'm also not too happy about that fact that my cervix is even shorter than last week or the fact that a nurse will be coming to my home to give me weekly shots.

Anyway, I'm still trying to be as positive as I can because I know that everything will be worth it when Munchie arrives.

Bed Rest SUCKS!!!!!!

I have my weekly appt with my perinatologist today so at least I get to get out of the house even if it's just for an appointment.

Being on bed rest has me wanting to be this domestic diva and clean and make curtains and cook but I know I can't and that's really hard. I'm trying to be as positive as I can but I am a Bitter Betty for real. I just take deep breaths and tell myself that this will all be worth it. There are little things that I want to do like freaking paint the nursery and go and get my hair done. Oh and my eyebrows look like who did it and why!

Poor husband....I don't know how he deals with me. I don't even know why I'm so mean. I barely even speak to him...that's really sad but it's like I'm pissed at the world for no reason. I will try to be nicer to him...maybe next week lol

Hospital Update

Finally I can post! I'm lying down in bed trying so hard not to get up and do things around the darn house. Bed rest SUCKS!

Let me back up and catch you all up

Last Thursday I went to my regularly scheduled weekly appointment with my specialist and I was put on bed rest for the rest of the pregnancy. I had been having contractions and my cervix was short.

Then on Monday I went to the OBGYN b/c I just couldn't believe I was going to be on bed rest for the rest of my pregnancy and she put me in the darn hospital!

So yesterday after 4 days in the hospital they released me. I will get to complete the rest of my 16 weeks of bed rest at home. I have to take medication every 6 hours for pre-term labor and I will see my specialist on Tuesday to make sure that I can continue to do bed rest at home and not have to go back to the hospital.

I'm staying positive but this took me by complete surprise.

Munchie Munchie Bo Bunchie! I love this little girl so much already! These are our purchases for the week. I'm so happy b/c I am the sale queen!

This set is somewhere around $300 and I got it for $43! Yeah baby!

We got this armoire in cherry for $99 and the original price is $549!

Ok so let's play NAME THAT MUNCHIE!!!! LOL We aren't going to name her until we see her pretty little face, but we could sure use some ideas. Send me an e-mail or leave a comment on my blog :)
