a little me time

today was a good day.  i had the day off, so i treated myself to a little me time.  i slept in a bit, which was nice b/c i have been working late all week.  so i have been getting home after 11 pm, and not getting into bed for a while after that.  i had lunch with my hubby, dropped off my books at the library, went to target, and went to see 27 dresses. 

not as good as it could've been, but an entertaining enough chick flick for me.  and it was nice to be alone for the afternoon.  i don't mind going to the movies alone, as long as it is something i can watch without being too scared.  i am a wimp. i can't even watch scary previews! 

now, i am home and in my pj's waiting for DH to get home from work.  he is making  turkey burger sliders in hawaiian rolls for dinner.  a little reminder of our wedding.  for our appetizers, we had crab cakes, garlic butter mussels and little sliders.  so cute.  and everyone loved it!

i can't believe it is already february.  time is flying by.  on monday, i had my health screening for our immigration application.  healthy as a horse.  good to go! tomorrow i have to go back for my labs and chest x-ray.  fun stuff.  and as soon as that is cleared, then we will be mailing our stuff out.  ohhh!  it is getting so exciting.  i hope everything goes as planned.  i have been super optimistic about everything.  so, i don't really have a plan if things don't work out.  i think things have a way of working out exactly the way things are supposed to.

the next 2 months will continue to be crazy at work.  my coworker is coming back from maternity leave in april, so then i will have a little time to breathe.  but till then i am slaving away.  i think i have a total of 4 days off in february.  at the end of the month, i am working 19 days straight.  hopefully i will still be sane at the end of that run!

oh, my best friend's sister is having another baby girl in june.  i can't wait.  hopefully we will be able to go down to so cal and be there for the birth.  then we will have to come back up here quickly for the birth of SIL's baby.   

nothing much else going on.  we are just living our life now.  work hard, play hard.
