i have a friend that was born on february 29th, and he is a twin. i think that is a weird cosmic coincidence. anyhoo, hope everyone is having a happy friday leap day.
i have to work tonight, a partial shift from 5-10pm. what kind of horrible trick is that? friday night, when everyone is coming home from work, i am just starting mine! boo!
i have, however, been productive today. i went to the coffee shop and worked on a competency that i am writing for the hospice agency i work for. it is not really my cup of tea, but i am trying to be helpful. i got more done than i thought i would.
i actually have something fun planned this weekend. i have to work tomorrow in the ICU/CCU satellite pharmacy, but then sunday, i am going to have lunch with MIL and SIL's family and then we are off to a bbq for some of our friends. i am glad that i am gonna actually do something this weekend besides work. thank goodness that my coworker will be back in april from maternity leave! i will finally be able to reclaim my life!
march is already here. where is all the time going? next week we are off to san diego for our wedding reception. and the week after that, i am going to the matchbox 20 concert! i am taking my coworker, since dh isn't too enthusiastic about my choices in music. he was sweet to get me the tickets for christmas, and it was even sweeter that he said he would go if i wanted him too. i decided not to let the extra ticket go to waste...and not to torture my sweetie!
no new updates on new zealand yet. still playing the waiting game. but, i had an incredible realization yesterday when i was looking at my friend's wedding countdown ticker on her myspace page. she is getting married on october 18th, and that is a little over 7 months away. that means we have a little bit less time than that before we are moving! i got a little overwhelmed thinking about it, and i started thinking...holy crap! we need to start packing! we need to start really thinking about tying up all our loose ends! yikes! but a happy yikes at that!
so much to do, so little time.
not much to say. nothing exciting to report. the sun is shining. that is nice. my days are a vicious cycle of sleep, work, work out, eat, sleep. barely any time to spend with dh, too tired to do much else. i am hopeful for the spring.
