Jax's birthday party was this last Saturday at my parents' house. It turned out REALLY well and everyone had a good time. At first I was worried that the kids would be bored, but I forget how much fun little kids can have by just running around.
Once everyone got to the house, we sat down and opened presents. From Manic Mommies I got the idea to get a picture of Jax opening each person's present WITH that person! It kind of worked. Anyhow, once I get the pictures developed, I will send each person the picture of them with Jax and their present. We took all kinds of pictures and the party ended up lasting 2 1/2 hours!
Jax got all kinds of cool toys. My parents bought him a bubble mower (big hit), he got a tricycle from my SIL, a wagon from great grandma, tons of books, dinosaurs, animals that make noise, water toys and Geo Trax toys.
This morning we had Jax's check up. He is 35.75 inches tall and 32.4 lbs! In everything he's in the 90th percentile and the doctor says he's right on track for everything. The only exception is speech, and our doctor didn't sound too worried. He recommended we see a speech pathologist just to get some ideas on how to encourage him and that was it! Today he got his last shot for Hep A and won't need any more until preschool! Woohoo.
I'm excited that this will be a short week and then we go camping! There will be one other little boy Jax's age, so I'm sure that will tons of fun for them. Plus Jax will be able to use his new beach toys!
