Totally new at this blog thing

Well....I'm not 100% sure what I'm doing with this thing, but practice helps, right?  I'm not the computer person, my hubby is, but if five year olds can do it, I probably can.  I've been in the Harrisburg, PA area for about nine months.  Hubby has been here for almost three years now, he moved here when he got a job, and I moved after we got married.  I really dont' know anyone except the girls at work.  I've been there at my job for two months now, and I love it so far.  We have a dog, Dunkin, and he's my total baby and I've spoiled him rotten in the eight months we've had him so far. 

It's awesome being married so far.  We lived apart for two years after being together for all of college, and lived for every other weekend when we could see each other.  It's the best to be able to wake up next to him every morning and smack him at night when his snoring keeps me up. 

We're renting a townhouse now, but we're starting to look for houses.  We drove around for three hours yesterday and another three today (we did take ice cream breaks though :)) and only found one open house.  Just our luck, but hey, it's a start.  We don't have much of an idea of what we're doing, but hubby knows a couple people at work who just bought in the last year, so hopefully they can give us some advice. 

So yeah, that's it for me tonight!

Oh yeah, the attached pic is a pic of my baby, Dunkin :)  Very cute.

Very cute dog.  Your relationship gives me hope for my brother and his girlfriend.  They met in college, he was a grad student and she was an undergrad, and they both graduated one year later.  She's living in Cleveland and he's nearly two hours away in Bowling Green.  It's worked for a year now, but they are starting to get anxious.  I hope they continue to stay together, like you and your husband did.

Wow I feel like we were in the same boat for a while. My DH lived in Leesburg, VA for about 6 years now, and He'd drive 3 hours to see me in Philly when we were dating. We tied the knot last September and I moved down with him. So about the last 8 months I have worked with him at his business (believe me, its not easy! Seeing DH all day and then coming home and spending more time together is difficult at times but we make it work) We are currently living in a townhouse that DH bought 2 years ago, and I'm not complaining. We have awesome neighbors whom we invite over for drinks and vice versa. My DH and the neighbor seem to be playing a "Who has a better lawn/solar lights/garden" game which is just hilarious to watch. And its good to know we have great people next door, because it just makes all the difference in owning a home. So happy house hunting! But do keep in mind...check out the neighbors as well as the house!
