First night without DH!

This is the first night since we've been married that I'll be on my own.  DH had to go to Pittsburgh for a business confrence at the company headquarters (every other year the Pittsburgh people come over here to Harrisburg), but he texted me and said he was playing mini golf and then out to dinner and drinking beers with the Pittsburgh people....I'm sure a lot of business is going to get done!  So anyways, it's me and the Dunk tonight and trying not to feel too weird on my own.  I just got totally used to sharing the bed and covers, it might be a little too easy to slip back into "The bed is mine!!!" mode.  At least I don't have to go back to work tomorrow and the Dunk will not have to be crated for another 12 hours while I'm there.  Poor thing....he really liked his walk tonight though and ran around like crazy, so now he's sleeping again!  As long as he doesn't wake me up at 5 am again, it'll be alright!  But DH is only gone for tonight, so no biggie, just kind of a weird feeling to be alone at night in our place for once.

I haven't spent many nights without my husband since we got married, but I did have to take a work trip to Nashville a few months after we got married.  I was loving sleeping in a hotel bed, sleeping diaganolly of course across the whole bed, without having to wake up a few times because of the dogs.  It was a nice break.
