Counting down the days

What a bunch of quiet weeks we've had.  Just working while the house stuff is in that black pit of underwriting.  Soo....less than two weeks till closing on our first home!  Very excited so far.  We really want to get into the place because it's vacant (the sellers live across the country) and looks so sad and neglected right now....of course the seller's relator stopped mowing the lawn the day we signed the contract so it's pretty shaggy right now.  The only good thing about this is that we can definately see the property line and we know that the line of pine trees is on our property, which is good because they are the ONLY trees on the property, except the ones growing with the weeds in the gardens.

It'll be nice, my Mom is coming down for a week to help me work on the house on my days off, which are getting few and far between.  We've been squeezing more patients into our little unit and people are on vacation for weeks at a time for the rest of the summer, so I've been working a lot of extra hours.  The good thing is that now we can afford that stainless steel, french door on top freezer on the bottom fridge I've had my eye on Wink  It's so pretty, hehehehe!  I keep telling myself that we need it because I won't waste as much fruit since I'll be able to see what is actually in the fridge, and not have to crawl on the floor to see what's in the fridge....I'll just have to do that for the freezer!

Congrats on your new house! Best of luck actually closing when your suppose to. I know ours was delayed by about 1 1/2 wks and we were so frusturated b/c we didnt have anywhere to live (our apt lease was up and already rented). Luckily the builder let us move in for 1 wk early, which was nice! Its alot of work but so much fun decorating and setting up a house!

God, that fridge sounds awesome!  I've never had a new fridge ever in my whole life, so I can't wait until I can have one of those awesome ones where you can see everything and food actually stays the right temperature (rather than freezing if on the top shelf and going bad if in the drawer at the bottom)!
