Good news and bad news

Our great news is that my BIL finally proposed to his girlfriend, who we all love, and they are now officially engaged! The prospect of another Lipp family wedding is enough to make me want to stock up on caffiene so I can party like crazy with the family, like we did for our awesome wedding :)
The increadibly terrible news was that one of my youngest BIL's good friends at college was killed over the weekend when she and another girl (another good friend of his) were hit by a car while walking to their car. BIL didn't see it, but was there soon after to be with the third friend who witnessed the whole accident. It's so hard to believe that these kids and their families have to live through this hell because someone just wasn't paying attention while driving (or drunk, not sure yet) 
I mean how stupid can you get??
So MIL is a bit of a wreck, and DH feels bad because we are no where near any of his family to celebrate/mourn with them. So crap.
At least we have a wedding to look forward to.
