Random thoughts of the day

I'm so proud of myself

Posted Wednesday, April 30, 2008 4:20 PM

I am never one to do my laundry in a timely fashion.  Usually it ends up being forgotten in the washer and has to be washed again a week later.  Then I never take things out of the dryer, and they end up not getting folded, etc....

But today I think my Adult gene kicked in again (it's happening more and more, it's like another puberty).  I got BOTH loads washed, dried, hung up/folded, and all in about two hours!  I don't know what's happening to me.  I also got up around 7 this morning, and I hadn't even set an alarm.  Is my body trying to get me in shape for motherhood?  I also ran a load in the dishwasher!  Whoa, this is getting too weird.  So either I am becoming a responsible adult, or I'm coming down with some strange disease.

I did however watch Saved by the Bell while running on the treadmill this morning, so it must not be too serious yet :)

I get those random spurts of cleaning energy. Unfortunately, they don't come often enough.

re: I'm so proud of myself

Matt makes my doing of the laundry Hell!  He likes to wear cargo pants with about 10 pockets on each pair, and God forbid, I forget to check one pocket, because that is the pocket where the inkpen is.  After two loads of ink-stained laundry and me laying in the kitchen floor with a can of hairspray and a toothbrush scrubbing every article of clothing that was in that load, I could care less if my husband ever has a clean pair of underwear for as long as we both shall live.

Thank God my hubby just opened his dry cleaning store... while I won't be dry cleaning everything, its still a relief to have a 40lb washer available to us any time we may need it...

I watch Saved by the Bell every morning while getting ready for work.  Sometimes I sit down and just get into it, even though it's an episode I've seen 100 times before...and then I'm late for work.
