Countdown to Thursday

This is the big week! DH is taking his actuary exam (#3 in a series of 8? I think? I'm a terrible wife)....again...on Thursday. It's been a total bugger of a test, and this is the fourth time he'll be taking it. He has been working his butt off this time around trying to study on his own. It's a lot harder than you think to study when you aren't at college, and have a full time job (for anyone who does this, huge props to you!). One of the guys he works with has taken this exam probably 6 or 7 times, and keeps getting a score of 5, and you need a score of 6 to pass. The last couple times Andrew has gotten just below the passing grade, and I can't think of a bigger demoralizer.
I think this time he has a little bit more of a positive outlook on it. He had study plans in place and scheduled study time almost every day and I feel so selfish to say that I want him to pass it this time because I am sick to death of it. Not so much the studying, but the stress. This test was the subject of our one and only huge fight. He's being a lot more organized this time, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this is the time he passes, because it's such a pain to schedule and study for.
These tests are only offered twice a year, and then they don't even get results back out until two months after you take it. So that's two months wasted, not studying, or knowing if you'll need to retake the test or not. Talk about a *** move by the actuary society. He would like to move on in the series, because you don't have to take the tests in order, but this sucker has become enough of a mental block to keep him from taking a break and doing another exam or class.
So I hope I hope I hope this is it. Otherwise it's on to selling all our worldly posessions and moving to a hippie commune to make a living by selling soap made from goat's milk or something.
