Screw NBC and the horse they rode in on!

Posted Sunday, August 24, 2008 8:51 PM

What a rip...we waited four years, just to see basketball and volleyball being played every time we turned on the tv....either that or synchronized swimming.  We had been watching the Olympics every night, all excited through the swimming and beach volley ball (that they played allll the time), being patient for track and field (only one of the biggest events at the Olympics!)....and they screwed us over!  They would show some heats for certain events, and then not the finals...or they would show the races where the American favorites messed up and didn't make the finals...over and over and over again!  They had four networks showing the Olympics, and they couldn't do better than partial coverage between other events.  Very lame, NBC!  Shame on you!

Anywhoo, the rest of this weekend was good.  We went to a BBQ/pool party thing that someone from Andrew's work was throwing.  Dang, what a nice place!  I could totally have moved right in, except for those pesky owners.  Oh well, maybe in 20 years or so....Smile

And no table tennis coverage either...I was really looking forward to it!  Lol..jk.  But I agree, for as many events as the summer Olympics have, they really didn't show very many.

I totally agree.... every single time I turned the tv on it was some king of volleyball.  It played right from day one almost right to the end.
