I am a cowgirl from Nebraska, married to a wonderful Sandhills cowboy. My husband is an electirican, and I am a stay at home mom to our daughter, Lily. I tend to ramble on and my blogs are normally really long, but every once in a while I might have something interesting to say. :D

I'm finally back to Nesting!

Whew! I guess it has been a few days since I have been on here. It seems like I had to fight to make it through the week. It has been so boring at work that I can't hardly see straight. And after a weekend on the lake, I am bummed to be back to work!

The lake was a blast!! We were out there about 8 hours Saturday and 5 or 6 Sunday after church. We rode the jetski, tubed, swam, sunbathed...oh my gosh, it was exactly the break I needed! And my MIL didn't drive me insane! We did have to do family pictures early Sunday morning, but it was ok. MIL was hilarious because she only had boys, so there were obviously never any girls, so when the photographer said "Ok, girls, come here." She got excited. It was funny.

I only burned the tops of my feet instead of my whole body, and DH just got tanner. I am making a definite effort to wear sunscreen, because at 21, I can already see sunspots on my face. I just hope our babies have DH's skin! I don't think he has ever burned in his life!

I have a total breakdown last night after my horse almost kicked my head off. The mare that he shares the pasture with was gone to 4H practice and so normally I have a good ride on Poker when she is gone. Well, he was a moron last night. He was kind of walking all over me, so I just pushed his neck over and he freaked out and started bucking and kicking. So I started just bawling and I went and got him and took him to tack up. I decided to just tie his head around (to encourage flexing, no one probably knows what I am talking about) and be done, because I know better than to ride when I am in a bad mood. It never goes well. So he fought me for a good half hour (me bawling the whole time). DH was inside talking to his boss on the phone about a job they have coming up and didn't see anything that was going on. He came outside later, I untacked Poker and threw him back out in the pasture. It took me a good hour to chill out. I got inside and just started scrubbing the bathroom. lol

And I had the farrier coming this morning. I was sure Poker would be an idiot, because he always is with our farrier back home. He loves to make me a liar. He was a total angel! Of course!

So now I'm just hangin' out figuring out what I need to do today. I have quite a long list and I'm debating on what needs to be done today or can be saved for tomorrow, when DH has the day off work. We are going to the school to find out what books he needs and all that so I can order them on Amazon and save a ton of money.

And I'm rambling, as usual. Take care everyone!

I just got back from my dermatologist visit, so yes - watch your skin (even at 21)! Sadly, I think our toddler my have gotten my Hubby's skin, which is more fair than mine.
