One baby shower down, one to go :D

Last night was my baby shower at my parents' house, and it was a blast. It was kind of a crazy day since Josh and Dad had to wire the barn where our party was to be held, and they hadn't bought any of the stuff yet, but it all turned out ok. We went to Menards in the morning and the boys picked up everything they needed. Mom and I went from there to Sam's (which was a ZOO!), Walmart, and ran a couple other errands for the party.
Got home and did same major cooking. Boo, Mom, and I had a blast together in the kitchen mostly because it was just so strange for my mom to be in the kitchen. lol My dad does most of the cooking. Anyway, Mom's best friend Jojo came around 4 and helped us finish up. The first guests showed up around 6:15 and the guys finished the basic wiring for the shop side (where the party was, we just had coolers and stuff in the barn side) right at 6:30.
Mom was kind of nervous about how she and MIL would get along, since they had a couple disagreements through the wedding mess last year, but everything was fine there. The ILs really enjoyed seeing where I grew up and kept saying "No wonder Josh loves your family so much!" He grew up in town and all the outdoorsy-ness and horse stuff came from friends. It was strange to see them here, but I think they enjoyed themselves.
And on to the loot! We had about fifty people (it was a super laid back party, but lots and lots of fun) and got a lot of great stuff. It was nice because we really didn't get any clothes, but a ton of stuff off our registry and a few cute little things. My friend M (the one that's getting married in September), found these cute little cowboy boots in an infant size that velcro down the back. They are SO cute! But we got tons and tons of stuff, plus quite a few gift cards. Definitely a great turnout. :D Now I need to go check out my registry to see what I have available for next weekend's shower.
I got to MM Thursday night and picked up a pair of denim capris and brown capris for work, plus three tops, one of them like the pink one I wear in, like, every belly pic. lol Also picked up two little baby girl outfits at JCP, because we only have plain gender neutral stuff and a couple little boy outfits.
Today, Mom and I are going back to Menards with the boys to pick up a couple things, then we are heading to get pedicures. I am SO excited! My little brother is having friends out for tonight, so Mom, Dad, Josh, and I are going to sit in the new barn and watch them do fireworks, and maybe make some strawberry margaritas (virgin for me, of course).
