Meet me, I'm Charlotte York meets Holly Madison meets Lucy Ricardo. I'm a paradox and a controversy in myself! I'm proud to be who I am...and I'm figuring that out as I go along!

Food!

We discovered a natural food store this weekend! I cannot tell you how thrilled I am. Seriously. I’m so used to having all these natural and alternative food stores in California that moving to a place like North Carolina was a culture shock in more ways than one. What’s a vegetarian to do when she’s surrounded by fried chicken and pork chops?!

Harris Teeter was my answer! I was in Heaven when I saw their “Cheeses from Around the World” display (and picked up a nice hunk of thick and creamy Havarti cheese). I swooned when we found organic cane sugar, and about passed out with joy when I saw their huge display of meat substitutes. But I knew I was truly in my happy place when we found refined coconut oil. I’ve been searching for that stuff for months! It’s the “official” oil of Skinny *** in the Kitch. I know it seems sad when a grocery store makes someone this happy, but it was so relieving. And it’s been under our noses the entire time! It was just on the opposite side of a shopping center that we always frequent!

Cannot wait to properly go shopping and explore!

Even if veganism and vegetarianism are no where near your train of thought, choo-choo over to a bookstore and just read a little snippet. You'll want to buy them. And if you do they'll change your life.

About McCoffee

Jason and I are two peas in a pod. April 2008 makes 3 years that we've been together. Some days it feels like we just met yesterday and others it seems like we've been together forever. I strive to be his trophey wife and he tries to keep up with me and my latest hobbies/obessesions. We love getting lost on roadtrips as much as we love Sunday morning lie-ins and doing absolutly nothing.
