Meet me, I'm Charlotte York meets Holly Madison meets Lucy Ricardo. I'm a paradox and a controversy in myself! I'm proud to be who I am...and I'm figuring that out as I go along!

Weekend Success

Posted Sunday, February 10, 2008 11:27 PM

This weekend has been a fairly productive one for us. Maybe I shouldn’t say "weekend” so much as Sunday. Saturday we just did a lot of driving around and eating. :0) Today we were able to haul our butts to Home Depot (the nearest one is an hour away) to use up a gift card. We’d decided to buy a power sander (thanks to a helpful Knottie’s suggestion). We were more than pleasantly surprised when we saw the one we wanted was marked down to $30! We happened to be carrying a $25 gift card on us.

While we were out, we also stopped by Michael’s (thank God one is opening in our area next month!) so I could poke around for wreath supplies. I have been obsessed with the square wreaths I've seen, but haven’t been able to talk myself (or my husband) into the $45+ price tag most of them carry. Instead, I managed to buy an $8 piece of floral foam and 3 $2 floral stems (on sale, 40% off— major score) and made myself a beautiful green wreath!

This coming week will be filled with me learning how to work the sander, continue priming the bathroom, and preparing to leave my job. Oh! That’s right, I got the new job!! I’m finally getting my foot in the financial door! My major bonus is I’m going down to a 4-day work week and still bringing home more money at the end of the month. So excited! February 22 is my last day in marketing and I could not be happier!

About McCoffee

Jason and I are two peas in a pod. April 2008 makes 3 years that we've been together. Some days it feels like we just met yesterday and others it seems like we've been together forever. I strive to be his trophey wife and he tries to keep up with me and my latest hobbies/obessesions. We love getting lost on roadtrips as much as we love Sunday morning lie-ins and doing absolutly nothing.
