Meet me, I'm Charlotte York meets Holly Madison meets Lucy Ricardo. I'm a paradox and a controversy in myself! I'm proud to be who I am...and I'm figuring that out as I go along!

Jason has an opinion.

Jason was so cute the other day. He walked into our living room and took a look around. He looked up at the gift he’s given me for our anniversary (second anniversary = cotton) and said, “I want to bring more Irish and Scottish stuff into our house.” It’s been the first time he’s ever really had an opinion that I didn’t have to suggest to him first.

We both took the “Design Taste Test” and the “Find Your Style” quizzes on HGTV (both a lot of fun—definitely something you should try). We were both Classy, but I fell under Traditional-Classy, while Jason fell under a mix of Country-Eclectic-Classy. We both agreed though that we like the time honored look of curvy pieces, comfy furniture, and dark woods. I spent a majority of my day off Wednesday looking at homes for inspiration. I even managed to Google a few Irish and Scottish homes to see what they looked like.

I think it’s good that we bought our first home when we were so young; it’s making it that much easier to figure out what we want in the long-term for our forever home. I’m excited to start bringing in more traditional heritage inspired décor. I’ll never turn down the opportunity to sop or decorate!! This weekend is the big county “yard-sale” and I’m bound and determined to find at least one of the three items on our list!

My anniversary gift, made of Irish cotton. Jason ordered it from a supplier in Ireland. It hangs above our back door so it's the first thing you see when you walk in.

re: Jason has an opinion.

That's so sweet! It's nice to know some guys are willing to share opinions(my FI is the same way, and I like that). Sounds like you found a wonderful guy :)

About McCoffee

Jason and I are two peas in a pod. April 2008 makes 3 years that we've been together. Some days it feels like we just met yesterday and others it seems like we've been together forever. I strive to be his trophey wife and he tries to keep up with me and my latest hobbies/obessesions. We love getting lost on roadtrips as much as we love Sunday morning lie-ins and doing absolutly nothing.
