Meet me, I'm Charlotte York meets Holly Madison meets Lucy Ricardo. I'm a paradox and a controversy in myself! I'm proud to be who I am...and I'm figuring that out as I go along!

St. Patrick's Festival

Posted Sunday, March 16, 2008 1:06 AM

Jason and I went to the annual Saint Patrick’s Day festival today. It was truly amazing. There was Celtic and bagpipe music every where and it just seemed to seep into my blood. Hearing the music was inspiring and it was easy to get lost in the rhythms and notes. I wish I could explain the feeling better; being surrounded by others who so clearly shared your heritage and love for it. The sea of green and gold, the proud men who wore their kilts. Everywhere we turned there were wee ones running about and their parents called out to them displaying their Irish names: little boys named Riley and Michael and one little girl called Ayden. It was so much more than the American tradition to get pissed on green beer—it was an actual celebration of Saint Patrick’s Day,

But wouldn’t you know it? Not a Guinness in sight…

We managed to find a few treasures amongst the shops (including a brilliant teapot that matches my thrift-store tea cups from last week).

About McCoffee

Jason and I are two peas in a pod. April 2008 makes 3 years that we've been together. Some days it feels like we just met yesterday and others it seems like we've been together forever. I strive to be his trophey wife and he tries to keep up with me and my latest hobbies/obessesions. We love getting lost on roadtrips as much as we love Sunday morning lie-ins and doing absolutly nothing.
