Buying Organic?

Along with my resolve to eat healthier, I've also decided to try and purchase organic when I can and to switch my household cleaners to more environmentally friendly products. After going grocery shopping last night, I realized I spent about $60 more than normal. Holy moly, batman! Granted, we were almost out of everything so I also stocked up on meat to put in the freezer, but the price still blew me away! I'm going to try and see if we can stretch the food we have from our typical 2 weeks to 3 weeks, with only stopping to purchase fresh produce and milk as needed. I took a good long look around our kitchen last night and I think this will be possible, but we'll see.
I must insert a rave for Method cleaning products. I know most money/environmentally savy gals on the boards recommed a homemade concoction to help save on costs in this area, but the smell of vinegar makes me sick to my stomach so I can't fathom the thought of including it in my cleaning routine. Instead, I've started using Method for all of my cleaning needs and have been extremely happy with the results. They are awesome cleaning products and work much better than the name brand products containing amonia and bleach.
Time to return to eating my breakfast of a healthy (and apparantly expensive) organic grapefruit
