Welcome to my blog! Mike and I were married on July 22, 2006 in Erie, PA. Although we're not technically considered newlyweds anymore, we still feel like we are! We live in a house we rent from my MIL with our dog, a pap-a-poo mix, Louis (pronounced "Louie") who is our pride and joy. I'm finishing up school full time to get my BA in finance while working full-time in a financial aid office and Mike is currently a technician for a national aerospace corporation. While we lead fairly boring lives, I'll try to spice things up from time to time to make the blog more exciting to read :)

So far, so good.

I'm very proud of myself today. I actually managed to get myself out of bed at 5:30am this morning and workout as planned. I don't really feel too tired as of yet which is good, but I have a feeling that once school work picks up and I've done this everyday for a week or so, I'll really start to feel the impact. Thank goodness for coffee! Coffee Mike and Louis both looked at me like I was nuts but I'm still glad that I got up.

To keep things interesting, I'm going to ride our stationary bike for a half-hour on Tuesdays and Thursdays and will get on the eliptical for a half-hour on Mondays and Wednesdays. Saturdays are going to be for focusing on my abs and lifting weights. I'm also giving myself Friday and Sunday off. I've designated Friday's as the *gasp* weigh-in days. I figured that this way, I could eat whatever I want (within reason) on the weekends and not have to worry about the scale for awhile. Once I get used to this routine, I'll start changing it up a bit as well. I'm hopeful that the short half-hour intervals will keep me from getting too worn out or pressed for time from the beginning. If all goes well and I actually stick to my plan, I may bump them to hour-long sessions.

Here's hoping that Day #2 of my new routine goes just as smoothly!

re: So far, so good.

Good luck!  I am still getting up at 5:30am on most days and working out to Gilad on FitTV.  I don't have any exercise machines like the bike, but I do have a step for aerobics.  The first week is the hardest!  But once you pass that, you will be home free.  Now it is like second nature, since I take my basal temp at 5:30 every morning, I just get up afterwards.  Keep up the good work!
