Well - I did it. I applied this morning for the Assistant Director position. I'm nervous. Like, really nervous. I have no idea if I truly want this job or not. I guess I'll just see what happens for now and deal with it later. I figured it was better to just apply and cover all my bases. I can always decline their offer later if it should come to that.
On another front, Mike has met with the company that does the hiring for the apprenticeship position that he's interested in and is going to start working today to get the 3 letters of recommendation that they require. He's hoping to have everything compiled and submitted by next week sometime. For the first time in a long time, he's actually excited about the possibility of going back to school and I'm so happy about that that it almost brings tears to my eyes. We also found out the salary range for the apprenticeship position. It's based on experience but at the very minimim, the starting salary is just about what he makes now....he'll have the opportunity to make up to $10 more per hour. He's already got 5 years of experience in the field, so I'm stoked!
