I'm having a blah day

It was supposed to be a good day. I'm only working a half day tomorrow so today is kinda like my Friday and my boss is off for today and tomorrow. Nothing even really set me off my mood just took a turn for the worst.
I've been looking for volunteer opportunities but everything that I have come up with I can't do for some reason. I wanted to be a baby cuddler, it's a person who goes into the hospital and cuddles babies that for one reason or another don't have anyone. I called the hospital and let a message for the woman that coordinates the volunteers. When she called me back she informed me that they didn't have such a program there but they did have openings at the patient information desk. After hearing what the position entailed...it's almost exactly what I do at my job...not that exciting. The local shelter doesn't need dog walkers, they need someone to foster kittens. Well I can't do that because 1. my cats wouldn't execpt them and 2. my landlord would have a major problem with that. So, that kinda bummed me out.
Then my co-workers were being stupid. The story is too involved to write out but lets just say this. If you are that thirsty you have 2 options. Bring in water from home or drink the F'ing filtered water that the firm provides. Why must you steal the bottled water that is purchased for MEETINGS!!!!
Rant Over.
Jamie got stuck at the train station in Newark last night for more than an hour. They had no power...he was in a great mood when got home but he got over it quick when I said that we could go to Burger King for dinner. He's a very simple man.
So at the end of this random blog post I propose a question. What do you do to volunteer or atleast fill the time on the weekends when your DH is being boring??
