Can someone tell me why?

Why do the only slippers you can buy online for babies in a size 6 at walmart cost almost $70?  Oh yeah, it might have something to do with the fact that they come in a chain mail tote bag.  No joke.  But I understand it, is any baby's life complete without a chain mail tote bag?

I just wanted to get some super cheap slippers for them.  I am guessing I am going to have better luck instore.  Maybe I'm out of the fashion loop.  As a mommy, I have given up the idea of buying classy sophisticated shoes.  Do all shoes come in chain mail tote bags now?  They used to come in boxes.

I'm totally confused.... is the chain mail tote bag supposed to be a selling point? On baby slippers?  I'd like to get in their marketing departments minds to figure what the logic behind that is.

As cute as they are... no way $70!! Sure the kids will have grown out of them in 5 minutes flat.  GL with finding some better options instore (I noticed the chain mail ones aren't available instore... shame... NOT!)

i dont know if they have a sears by you ... but i just got my cousin's kid for xmas slippers .. so mayeb you would have luck there .. i got him transformers ones he going to love them !

I wouldn't spend $70 on slippers for myself. so ones that are a fraction of the size and for a baby that will have outgrown them next winter. No Way!

I can't even find slippers for my one year old.  They all start at size 5 or 6 and he's only a 4.  It's so annoying because it's cold in our house with the hardwood floors and putting socks on all the time is just annoying.  I so want some easy-on slippers for him!

Okay...this was too weird...and I'm procrastinating at work...so I looked it up a little further cause I'm like that and was way to puzzled by $70 Walmart slippers...for babies.

 Clearly those aren't really "slippers" and it was shocking, and I worked at Walmart in high school in thee shoe department, in store you will find an absurd quantity of slippers, many with funny little heads attached that if your kids do walk they will find so difficult to walk in, but I digress.

SO those slippers are wicked expensive because they are some special orthopedic diabetic shoe or something.  The chain mail bag is because the brand is named for Sir Bors de Ganiwho "was the only knight to survive the Quest for the Holy Grail and return to court."
