I know I'm getting ahead of myself . . .

Posted Thursday, July 31, 2008 1:40 PM

but enlighten me please. I may go crazy the next few days. Like I said in my previous post, I've been exhausted around lunchtime every day the past couple of days. I've calculated the estimated date of AF's arrival, and the estimated ovulation date, and

Still Tired

Posted Thursday, July 31, 2008 12:55 PM

I didn't exercise yesterday, was pretty lazy actually. Didn't run this morning, got up at 6:30, and now right after lunch I am exhausted. I could probably put my head down on my desk and actually fall asleep. I will try to run tonight after work (if it

A Bright Spot during hump day

Posted Wednesday, July 30, 2008 3:25 PM

Today my boss informed me I'm getting a merit raise!! Not a promotion, but he said we need good people in my position, and if I want to stay in it and be one of those cornerstone people, he'll take care of me. (Note to self, if I don't get my COL adjustment

Taking the day off

Posted Wednesday, July 30, 2008 9:31 AM

from exercise, that is. I walked a mile last night, and that was enough for my sore muscles. I am taking today off, and will run my 2 mile circuit Thurs & Friday, my 3.7 mile circuit Saturday, and walk 3.7 miles on Sunday. Hopefully that will all

daily update

Posted Tuesday, July 29, 2008 8:41 AM

I ran after work last night - my 2 mile circuit. Was too tired this morning to run, so I think I will walk my 3.7 mile loop with my dachshund. My clothes keep getting tighter (mainly my pants and skirts)! Boo - all I want is for this eating right and

Workout Check-in

Posted Monday, July 28, 2008 9:01 AM

So I wasn't perfect this weekend - I didn't run twice. I went to the gym on Sunday and did 25 minutes on the treadmill until I thought I was going to puke/pass out (it was really hot and gross in there). And I lifted some. I will do my 2 mile run tonight.

Weight issues

Posted Friday, July 25, 2008 11:48 AM

The running doesn’t seem to be helping. I cannot get below 145, and all my clothes are getting tighter, not looser. I am so frustrated and discouraged. DH told me he doesn’t notice that I’ve gained any weight, but I have somehow gained inches while holding

My Mama taught me well . . .

Posted Friday, July 25, 2008 11:43 AM

So I get questions a lot about what I sew, craft, etc . . . I like to scrapbook, but have no place to spread it out and leave it, so I’m super-far behind on that front (like years, not months or weeks). One day I will finish some and get organized. I

You'd think he would've figured this one out by now . . .

Posted Thursday, July 24, 2008 3:55 PM

So I have to go to the quilting store in the next town over after work to get a quilting template (I already checked JoAnns, Michaels, and Walmart here). I asked if he wanted to come, and he said no, just go on the way home from work. You would think

Heat = dying mojo

Posted Tuesday, July 22, 2008 1:51 PM

It's been very hot this week (90+ degrees, which is hot when the air sits in the mountains all muggy with no breeze). And while we're not doing the whole charting/trying super hard thing, this would be a good week for some romance. Alas, this heat is

The long awaited (and slightly delayed) Rant

Posted Tuesday, July 22, 2008 11:08 AM

So my rant was delayed . . . (got home late, ran 2 miles in 90 degree heat, ate supper, bedtime). I’ve been at my job a year in August. A year seems to be the general promotion time. My coworker K has also been here close to a year (we came about 2 weeks

Get Geared up for my rant!

Posted Monday, July 21, 2008 4:29 PM

Just a note to let you know there is going to be a major rant about work this evening (once I'm home and have unlimited time to type and no "big brother" screening my computer). It involves some hard workers, and some ditzy no-so-hard workers and should

Sunday Blog

Posted Monday, July 21, 2008 11:55 AM

I ran 3.7 miles Sunday morning in 39:15. I am very excited, because I thought it would take closer to an hour, and there were 3 big hills on the route I took. The interval thing isn’t going so well, mainly because DH runs too fast and I can’t finish before

Wild Day at Work

Posted Friday, July 18, 2008 4:02 PM

So today has been crazy, I can't believe it's already 4:00. I got here, not early like I hoped, got a small project finished and sent, helped set up for the customer appreciation event, came back upstairs and finished a second analysis, held down the

Flare-up

Posted Wednesday, July 16, 2008 1:52 PM

It seems there is a sudden flare-up of flaming going on - on the blogs, not the boards!! I just wish these people would stop - I know Amanda and Ellis and Mandy are good people trying to live good lives the best way they know how. I always try to be constructive

Weekend . . .

Posted Monday, July 14, 2008 12:32 PM

So the ILs were supposed to spend the night and leave early in the morning, and I told them I had planned to go to a yard sale around 8am, so I was excited. Oh guess what - the ILs didn't leave until 2pm!!!!!!!!!! And they had a 6+ hour drive to ATL for

Huge Yard Sale!

Posted Thursday, July 10, 2008 4:44 PM

So my coworker just told me about a huge yard sale this weekend - a whole street. Guess who's going and is going to drag DH along . . . I love yard sales, but I don't have my grandmas or my mom and sis or any friends to go with. I really need to get friends

That workout beat my a**

Posted Thursday, July 10, 2008 10:29 AM

OMG (and yes, I feel all giggly and high-schoolish just typing that) - I got the August issue of Fitness and decided to do the 31 day interval workout (the drop a jeans size workout). It alternates a 40 minute intervals workout with cardio (each 3x a

Stinkin' Feet

Posted Wednesday, July 09, 2008 3:44 PM

I really hate right now that my right foot is a good half size/size bigger than my left. My left foot/right foot difference is larger than most, and the shoes I'm wearing today aren't helping. My left foot was always very loose in shoes, and I never knew

Decisions, decisions . . .

Posted Tuesday, July 08, 2008 1:38 PM

I think I have made some decisions, but how to actually put my plan in action is another matter. 1. I am definitely going to visit another obgyn (probably the one my primary phys. recommended). What I don't know is how to schedule an "interview" type

Help

Posted Monday, July 07, 2008 9:43 AM

My ladies, please read my blog from yesterday and give me your advice. On one hand I feel like I'm naive and expect too much from my doctor, on the other, I think I've had enough signals to go in a new direction. My old obgyn (before I got married) never

AF has returned

Posted Sunday, July 06, 2008 11:07 AM

AF began July 4th with a vengeance. Like back in high school after I quit track when I had the most horrible cramps and was just exhausted all day. Of course, the ILs were here, and MIL was really getting on my nerves, but I chalked it up to my bad mood.
