OK, confession - I watch America's Next Top Model and Gossip Girl every week. That sort of makes me feel like a dork - they're both completely superficial, etc., but I like them. When DH was home for Thanksgiving, he saw a preview for Gossip Girl - I can only describe his reaction as "scoffing." I didn't mention to him that I'm a devoted watcher. It'll be all sorts of fun once he's back home. He actually watched ANTM with me the first season that was on after we got married, and his competitive nature kicked in and he was all excited when he "picked" the girl that ended up winning. Since then, however, he's only made fun of it. When I watch it, I hope he stays in the office so I don't have to hear the derogatory comments. :) On the other hand, I guess with the writer's strike going on, it might not be an issue at all once he gets back home.
On a side note, I found out why I never heard from that friend of ours. She asked her husband not to call me to ask for help - I don't know if it was a pride issue or because I don't think she likes me very much. I did get in touch with her, and her husband's mom has been up here staying with her, so at least someone was there.
Well, Gossip Girl is on, so I'm gonna go watch it. :)
