I hate waiting rooms

My mom had surgery today. Nothing major, but some pretty extensive oral surgery. I had the same thing done 2 years ago so I knew what she was in for. The surgery was about 2 hours long but my dad and I got some good bonding time in the waiting room I guess. We had about a 45 minute drive back to their house afterwards and I sat in the back seat with her. We had to get her a smoothie so she could take one of her pain pills and the poor thing couldn't feel her mouth so it just dripped all down her chin. She just looked pitiful. I eventually just had to feed her. Luckily I didn't have to work today so I got to go with them. She's not supposed to talk for the next week! When I had mine done I was all bruised and swollen for several weeks--not fun! I remember having to go get my bridal portraits done when it was still hard to smile. My sister had to have the same thing done when she was a teenager and my nephew is having to have it done too! Talk about BAD dental genes!

Lol! My dad's family has really great teeth (I do too), and Josh's family has bad teeth, so we keep saying we hope the baby gets my teeth. :D Have a good weekend!
