The Incredible Shrinking Waistline

Believe it or not, my new favorite fashion accessory is for my eyes only! While searching in my closet for the perfect little black dress to wear to a friends wedding, I came across a tight lace number that I hadn’t worn since my sophomore year in college (scary)!

Since I’m not quite as petite as I used to be, naturally I figured I would just have to suck it in all night. On a last minute whim (seriously one hour before the wedding) I invested in a pair of Higher Power Spanx and it changed my life. I swear you couldn’t see them at all under the dress and more importantly they automatically took an inch off my waistline. Now I’m counting down the days until my next black tie event just so I can wear them again!

Do you own a pair of Spanx? Which style is your favorite?

I dont own a pair of them but i've heard that they do wonders. Awhile back the lady that invented them was on Oprah and it was so crazy how she came up with the idea that made her millions and is still to this day! She did have a rough start, and many many many people turned her down and told her she was crazy....eventually some man bought into the idea and thought he would give it a try. It just goes to show that her persistance paid off, BIG TIME!

My only question is...if you're wearing something that tight in the areas where you want to be smaller, doesn't the fat have to go somewhere?  I mean, wouldn't it ooze out the bottom making your thighs look bumpy, or out the top and make your ribs look fat?

The first time I put on my spanx I was wondering..."where is all this going to go??" It's still a mystery, because there are no bulges or bumps, it's incredible! I can wear slinky dresses without panty lines OR jiggle! Target also carries Assets by Sara Blakely (creator of spanx) at a more economical price, but they stretch out a little quicker than the pricer Spanx. I love them both, and they are DEFINITELY worth having!

I have purchased several pairs of spanx.  My favorite ones are the spandex ones (not nylon).  I wear them all the time under jeans, capris, dresses...everything.  They have worked wonders.  Plus the are actually comfy.  I tend to forget I am even wearing it.  I have no idea how it works, but there is never any bulges on the bottom or the top.  They are THE BEST.  I buy mine brand new on EBAY.  They are a lot cheaper, and are brand new in their original package.
