Lash Out

Have you ever considered eyelash extensions? Then this blog is for you!
One night some of my office comrades and I went to Shecky's Girls Night Out. It's this great shopping event chalk full of shopping, freebies, and (of course) an open bar.
I
was wandering through the booths, cocktail in hand, when I noticed a
long line of women waiting to try out a new mascara that promised
eyelash lengthening.
My first thought was “yeah right” but honestly, after applying the Fiberwig Mascara, I might as well have been wearing false lashes.
Here's how it works: The mascara has little fibers that attach to your own lashes giving a lengthening boost.
I
immediately told my friend Lindsey (who’s always complaining about her
abnormally short lashes) to go buy a tube. When she called me in
hysterics because she couldn't get it to work I knew there had to be a
trick…
And here it is:
First: You have to coat
your lashes with your regular mascara (in my case it's Yves Saint
Laurent's Faux Cils) because it helps the fibers cling better.
Second:
Treat the wand like a paint brush. So instead of sweeping the long edge
of the wand across all your lashes at once, you should use just the
point of the wand at the tip of each lash and move your hand in an
upward motion.
Give it a shot (pick up your own tube at Sephora) and let me know what you think!
