Curling Iron Craze

I have to admit that while I was home for the holidays I felt completely lost without my DVR. I was of course forced to endure lengthy commercials. Who knew there were sooo many?

Anyway, I saw a commercial for Bed Head curling irons and was convinced that I needed to test what these irons were capable of.

The results:

First, the Dual Waver. I'm not sure if it was the contraption or the '80s crimp-like style that really sparked my interest, but either way I actually liked the results. You get a soft retro looking wave. We found it works best with layered hair, short or long.

Next up, the 1 1/2" Barrel Iron. For shorter hair (anything shoulder length and shorter) this iron is a little too large, but I love how it handles long hair. It actually ends up straightening the hair more than curling it. Although instead of the wilty lifeless ends, the kind you get from a straightener, you get a large soft curl at the bottom.

Do you curl? Let me know which iron (or method: Velcro curlers) work best for you!
