Right Hand Rings: Do you wear one?

Posted Tuesday, January 15, 2008 6:42 PM

I've noticed that once they say "I do" lots of women forgo their right hand rings so engagement rings and wedding bands can take center stage.

Do you wear both your engagement ring and your band on the same hand?

or

Do you mix it up with fun cocktail rings?

Would you mix metals? (Wear platinum on the left and gold on the right)

Well, if you are in the market for some right hand bling check out Alexis Bittar. These two designs are from his most recent collections and I think they are just delicious (not to mention pretty reasonably priced).

re: Right Hand Rings: Do you wear one?

I have my engagement and wedding rings soldered together on my left hand but I do still wear a ring on my right hand.  It's a ring my husband (then boyfriend) bought me for our first anniversary.  It's gold and my other rings are white gold - but I just can't NOT wear it.

I wear my engagement and wedding ring on my left hand.  I consider it my serious, committed hand - as I will never wear any other rings on that hand.  However, my right hand is my fun hand.  I wear gorgeous, over-sized cocktail rings that accentuate my fun, fashion-forward, extroverted personality.  I change them up with whatever I'm wearing.

I get tons of compliments on both hands - everyone loves my wedding rings and people (men and women) always comment on how nice and sparkly my jewelry are.

I feel that I didn't socially and fashion-wise die when I got married - I was a fashion goddess then and will continue to be so.

Even before I met my husband, my gold College ring hardly left my right hand.  I'm proud of my university, and I will continue to wear that for years, even while wearing white gold as my wedding band and engagement ring.  The gems are even opposites! Diamonds and Sapphires in my bridal set, and Garnet in my College ring.
