Skin Solutions

When the cute cover-up becomes a necessity thanks to razor burn, and ingrown hairs (i know, gross, but we all get them) it's hard to imagine hitting the beach in a teeny bikini. But, before you toss in the towel, start minimizing those stray hairs with two key tricks:

Exfoliate: Waxing weakens your hair follicle, but your skin is still just as tough and can clog hair follicles and redirect hair growth inward. This it what causes those annoying (and sometimes painful) ingrowns. Exfoliating at least twice each week will help shed dry surface skin and allow the hair to grow.

Lotion up: Use a specialized lotion to help sooth, prevent and tackle those pesky hairs. We love Shobha Ingrown Relief Lotion.

re: Skin Solutions

I use PFB Vanish roll on after a bikini wax & have never had an ingrown.  If I tried shaving it myself, I always had issues.  Part of it could be the waxing, but I swear by vanish..easy to use & pretty cheap!
