BOOOOO!
It started Tuesday night with the runny nose and he was a bit tired. I thought it was just allergies since we were working outside. That night we got the bottom/walls of the shed (we bought two years ago) up. Wednesday night we got half the roof done and he was ready to go in. That isn't like him but I still thought it was allergies. He took some zyrtek that night and the next morning. He said it wasn't helping.
He scheduled today off to watch basketball and as a mental health day. He is crazy busy at work, covering for two people that keep calling off, and just needed the extra day to refresh. No big deal. Until last night he says it's a cold not allergies. DH is a BABY when he has a cold!!! We have a lot of stuff to do tonight and tomorrow so I hope he isn't feeling bad b/c it will slow the whole process down. I just want to send him to the IL's until he is better when he gets sick. Granted it doesn't happen often but he just gets on my nerves. I am trying to be nice about it this time and we will see how well I do.
So the great stuff from this week:
The shed is done except half the roof and the door. Yeah!
Everything is scheduled and the trash company is picking up the old couch next week. We get one bulk pick up a week free and I didn't know that.
They are also sending us a new trash can b/c our wheel keeps falling off.
And the great stuff I am looking forward to this weekend:
The new couch
Getting the wood for the porch repair. Hopefully DH is feeling better so we can get this done next week!
We are going to the Anthony Thomas tour! Yeah sweets!!!

Well not people but scheduling appointments and getting info for personal things (it only bothers me a little for work).
So today was my big call today and I acted like a grown up. I got the dog scheduled for his rabbies shot next Monday. My mom's friend gave us her sectional (she is getting new) so I got the U-haul but I still have to stop by to pay for it. I got the special pick up from our trash company to take the old one. She has to get back to me but I am almost there. The couch was the IL's for 20 years before it was ours. In the last 6 years we have had it between the kids, smoking, and the dog it's not even in shape to donate. Luckily it lasted all this time b/c it was cheap to begin with.
Now I am just trying to get the weekend staightened out for timing b/c it's going to be a busy one.
Friday after work we will pick up the kids at 6:00 and get fast food for dinner. DH is taking Adrian and Jada to fun night at there school from 7-9. This year it's only students of there school that can go (last year it was the whole family so we took all the kids). I am taking Aaliyah and Makayla to my mom's to get the money Grandma sent me for our Christmas. I know it's March but she wanted to buy the wood to fix our porch for Christmas and I know I would have spent it on something else if I didn't get it right before we fixed the porch. At 9:00 we will get the other half of the family from the school and go home.
Saturday (this may change) we are picking up the u-haul at 9:00 and getting the wood from Home Depot. Then our friend M (the strange married guy story) is helping DH with the sectional. I am hoping to return the u-haul by 11:00 and head to Anthony Thomas. The factory is giving free tours for Easter. All the kids will love that! Jada will be the most excited b/c she is the sugar queen. IDK if I told you this before but one weekend we were eating at Arby's and they were all just picking at there food distracted by talking/goofing around. So we told them if they didn't eat there sandwich no Easter basket. Jada shoved the whole sandwich in her mouth in one bite. It was the funniest thing ever. She doesn't play around when it comes to candy.
That evening we will put the livingroom back together. We have to move everything b/c of how the sectional is shaped. If figure after dinner, showers, and maybe a movie we will all pass out!
Sunday is pretty open. It will be laundry, clean, hangout, and homework (for the kids) day. I am looking forward to this and hope the timing works out for everything
I am just so glad I have my big girl panties on today and got some of this stuff scheduled!!!

The weekend was pretty good. DH and I saw a movie, went out with friends, and worked on the house a bit. The time change really messed me up. We stayed up till 4am (after the time change) and it had me "off" for a couple of days.
Monday our email/internet was down. Talk about a long day!!! I ran to the thrift store during lunch to break it up but didn't find anything. The girls prefer capris to shorts so I was looking for a couple pair for painting or other messy activities. I will keep looking. One thing OH has a lot of are thrift stores so I am not giving up yet.
Today I am blah. It doesn't make any sense. It is wonderful weather and I am not stressed out busy but none the less still blah for no reason. Hopefully I will snap out of it in the next hour before I get home. TMI but I have really bad gas today too. I just went outside for some release. Lunch must not agree with me.
We are starting to get a schedule for painting/new carpet in the house. I don't smoke in the house when the kids are there but I do when they aren't. Once the new stuff is in no more smoking in the house. That will be an adjustment but I am not going to stink up all the new stuff!!! I am not looking forward to it. I just need to quit! Ashley T if your around how are you doing with not smoking?

DH's reversal is almost 3 weeks away. What?!?!? I just realized when I put the kids dentist appointments in my calendar. When I made it it seemed so far away. Boy did that creep up on me.
I did my all star workout belly dancing. At first it was goofy but then I got really in to it. I wish I had the thing that makes noise around my waist. That made it seem so much cooler. Tonight it is kick boxing. I will be sore!
We haven't watched Boondock Saints 2 yet. I wanted to watch the first one again since it's been so long and we haven't had the time. We will do it this weekend and I am still excited.
Oh funny story....
DH's friend from work MW came over last night to use our turbo tax. I was getting him started and he told DH he needed to talk to him in private. His girlfriend was calling and texting him so I though it was just about that and went back to watching 16 and PG. After he left I asked DH. Well he didn't want me to see him file married but seperate. Why because as far as we all knew he's never been married and has a girlfriend. Little did we all know 6 years ago he married a girl so she could stay here. They are still married and he doesn't even know where she is. How crazy!!! I though that stuff only happened in movies.

We are going to get it after work today. I am so excited. DH and I saw the first Boondock Saints a few years ago (way after everyone else) and loved it. I hope the 2nd is just as good.
We have a quite week this week so I am trying to make sure I keep up with my all star workout. I did it last night and tonight I get to do belly dancing (I am a few days behind on the DVR).
Last night I got a haircut. After my dye mishap I haven't done anything with it. It was way too long and on my nerves. I got about 3 inches taken off and it feels much better. Now I just need to color it since I think enough time has passed. I got my eyebrows waxed also. I took off my glasses (of course) when she did them and didn't put them back on when I checked them out in the mirror. Everything looked fine. When I got home I was messing with my hair in the mirror and something didn't look right. My left eyebrow was way to short on the side closer to the ear. I couldn't do much about it since she can't put eyebrow back on so I just plucked some off the other side so they were a bit more even. I guess I will keep my hair down till they grow back b/c you can really see it when my hair is in a ponytail. I could be worse!

K didn't even get 3rd place. Her cake was really cool too. I wish I took pictures. The first place cake should have won it was by far the best. It was a big tree with little swings hanging off the branches. On each swing was a little wedding cake. It was so cool. The bark on the tree looked so real. I have no idea how she did it.
The rest of the weekend flew by. The kids enjoyed the home and garden show. They each got a bag and a yard stick. They were so excited about it. That is just funny to me.
Aaliyah and Makayla had a talk about how they treat each other but it didn't do a whole lot. Hopefully with time it will get better. The talk went down hill when Makayla said "My mom told me Aaliyah acts that way b/c her mom is crazy." What?!?!? Don't tell your 9 year old that about her sisters mom. It will be repeated and shouldn't be. So then we have a talk about talking about people and things that hurt peoples feelings. Oh boy! DH had to call her mom and remind her to watch those things. She agreed and hopefully we won't have too many of those surprises in the future.
DH and I were both tired when we got up and hopefully can have some alone time tonight. The sun is out and it is making me so HAPPY! I feel like it's been forever.
This is a quite week for us after work so maybe we can tackle some of the house projects this week. I really want to get some painting done since we won't freeze with the windows open.
Happy Monday all!!!!

After work it's off to get the kids. Once home Aaliyah and Makayla are having a "meeting" about them being mean to each other most the time. After will be dinner. That might be pizza now that I saw Edmo's post.
Saturday Jada has a sleep over to go to and we are going to run errands with the other kids. AJJ has a school project to finish up that is due at the end of the month. We are working more on not waiting till the last minute for school projects so hopefully this will start a new trend.
Sunday is busy. The kids have Sunday school and after two of there uncles are being baptised so we will all attend. After we pick up Jada and hear all about her sleep over. Hopefully she doesn't fall asleep first b/c that usually leads to marker on the face and we have things to do. It is finally the Home and Garden show/cake competition. I am still excited!!!
Just a reminder to all the busy mom's on here. I know I am not a mom but I have been through some of the same stress when the kids were 3, 4, 5, and 8. It gets so much easier. The worries change but little things make it so less stressful.
- You tell them to brush there teeth/hair/get in the shower and they do.
- They set the table for meals and get there own drinks.
- They can buckle themselves in the car (sadly we still have to do a visual check)
- They know better then to "run into the street"
These are little things and there are a million more but I can't tell you how far down my stress level has when down since they are SO much more independent. Just bath time alone took forever when there were little. Now this will only last a couple more years till the whole driving thing starts but I will enjoy it for now. Hang in there

Why do people consider stupid choices???? DH's ex (mother of two children) called saying she might pick up her dad and have him come stay at her house for a week. OH NO! She said she wasn't by the end of the convo but I don't know why we even had to talk about it. Here is the back story:
Her mom left her dad when she was still a baby b/c he beat her mom. Like you end up in the hospital beat her. Then when she was 12 he molested her (yes his own daughter). He has been a drug addict and alcoholic his whole adult life including smoking crack with the oldest in the car when she was 3 (they were both in the back of the van). Now he is about 2 hours away in his hometown to visit his mom in the hospital b/c she isn't doing well and they don't think she has long left. He couldn't see her when he got here b/c he was too drunk. There are a million other stories about this guy (some I have witnessed first hand) and there is no way he will be staying with the kids. IDK why it was even thought about. Why did I have to talk her out of it?!?!?! I know he is there grandpa but he can't be with them alone ever!!!! I am not taking the chance of him molesting my SD like he did his own daughter and I can't believe he mom even gave it a second thought. Just wanted to share how weird it is!!! My mind can't wrap around it.
On to better things:
I am so excited for Kim!!! I will be great to have another baby around here that we get super cute pix of like the rest.
I am also glad Edmo is back. It's nice to hear from her again and her two little ones.
Tonight it is grocery then watch 16 and PG and LOST. I can't wait! I might have to skip my workout
