This is just my opinion and story for why I feel vaccinations should be spread out or some skipped totally.

September 14th, 2001 my BF Heather had her second son Justice. I was in the delivery room with her and her H when he was born. This was the first birth I ever watched. I was the most amazing thing. I just cried the whole time. Nothing was gross or weird it was just beautiful. Watching his first yells (kind of) I felt like I was watching God's hand at work. He was perfectly health and normal weight so 2 days later he was home. It was so exciting!

Okay enough sappy:

The day after his 6 month shots at Kroger he had his first seizure. 911 was called and the childrens hospital couldn't explain it. They kind of blew it off unless it happens again. Well guess when it did?!?! Two days after his next series of shots. This time it was worse and he was hospitalized for 5 days. The doctor desided to hold off all other shots b/c maybe he had some kind of allergy.

At 2.5-3.0 we all were noticing he wasn't keeping up with other kids his age in developement. He would get "stuck" watching shadows or things turning. He wasn't speaking on the level of kids his age. So of course the doctor visits and research started. Luckily he was diagnosed early with his autism and has had his theropist working with him twice a week since about 3.5. It really helped him progress.

Again this isn't a sad story b/c Justice is fine. He loves his soccer team, goes to school on the bus like the big kids, and is a wonderful big brother to his little sis. But on the other hand he had to stay in Kindergarden for 3 years. He has to change schools every school year so he doesn't get too comfortable so that change will not become an issue.

I maybe very wrong but the shots and his seizers and the autism all have a direct link in my mind. Just my two cents.

It's my 30th birthday

AHHHHH

I can't believe my 20's are gone. Okay that's all I am going to whine about it. I am now a mature 30 year old woman

Tonight DH is taking me to dinner and I think he is buying me the shark steam pocket that I want really bad. We will see.

Only 35 hours till I see New Moon.

Last nights interview went pretty well. He said my background check will be back on Monday and he will call me then to set up the orientation. The orientations are only done on Mondays so I won't be able to attend one till the 30th but that's okay. I am a bit excited and a bit nervous as I usually am when I start something new.

There will probably be two posts by me today b/c I know there was something else I wanted to tell you ladies but I don't have a clue what it was!

The good, the bad, and the ugly

The GOOD:

So I have applied any place close to home that seems like they would need additional help during the holiday season. I want to stay longer if they need me but I will take the few months if that is all I can get. Shortly after my blog yesterday I get a strange number on my phone. This also happened on Monday and it was a bill collector for M&K. They put us down as something like a reference (not a co signer) on some loan that they aren't paying. So I didn't get my hopes up when I answered this strange number. But all the joy it was Blockbuster (Edmo you must have visions) and I have an interview today at 4:30. I am a little nervous but I hope it works out. I straightened my hair and everything. Wish me luck

The BAD:

Our big tv in the livingroom died last night. It's been acting funny for a couple weeks so we knew something was up. We bought it from my uncle for $300.00 a couple years ago so I can't complain but this always happens around the holidays. So if I land my part time job some of that money will go to a new tv. We will put the old one back up till then. It might be better with the smaller tv since the Christmas tree will be up soon. It was just a bummer!

The UGLY:

5 days of no workout and we ate dinner out two nights in a row. This is unheard of. IDK what is gonig on. So I need to get back on the wagon. Tonight after the interview we have to move the tv/tv stand around so that might be all the workout I need. That stuff is heavy!!! Also I will super sweep since stuff will be moved and I can get all those places I sometimes ignore.

Also I can't quit watching the infomercial for the Shark steam pocket. Does anyone have one???? I am really close to buying it but I haven't hear from a real person if they work as good as they say.

That's all my rambling. Hopefully tomorrow I will have some good news!

A new prospect

DH and I are still on the search for part time work without any bites. I have kept my hours wide open except when I am here but I am still limiting my search to close to home. That one I won't budge on. So I always have an eye out when we are running errands.

Last night we went to pick up Raising Cane's chicken for dinner and I see a building being worked on. It was our Circuit City that closed earlier this year. It will be an urban active gym. I am so excited. I am going to keep my eyes on it daily for when the start hiring. This could be it and you get a free gym pass to boot. I haven't worked out for 4 days now. We did do a lot of walking over the weekend but none the less I have been a slacker.

That's all the excitement for my day so far

The Christmas lists are in

The kids all want a DSi and Ipod touch. We are getting the DSi's and the mom's are getting the Ipod touch. They are so spoiled!!! There are some other random things but there lists weren't too bad this year. You can tell they are getting older b/c it used to be the whole Toy R Us book

DH and his ex are having a meeting with Makayla's teacher tomorrow to discuss this situation. Makayla is also getting help from her bother AJJ on her homework and seems to like that better then an adult. They must speak the same language. These are postive things and my mood is not near as bad as Friday. I like these steps rather then open mouth insert pill.

So Friday we picked up Jada, Makayla, and AJJ and just hung out at home. Aaliyah was babysitting for DH's exwife Saturday morning so she stayed there.

Saturday we were off to Whole Foods. The kids love the samples and follow behind them and buy every health thing they sample. This way I know they like it and we are eating a little better. The find of this trip was almond butter (like peanut butter but with almonds instead). Man that stuff is good!!! We also stopped at the pet shop to look at a few animals. It was a nice day. Aaliyah is usually dropped off by 5:00 after babysitting but DH's ex got tickets to the Ohio State game and didn't tell Aaliyah till 3:30 that she needed her till 8:00. Aaliyah was mad Aaliyah already told her she isn't babysitting on our weekend though Christmas b/c she is taking up her whole weekend. I am glad so we can do all our traditional holiday things without wondering what time Aaliyah will get there or doing it without her.

Sunday we hung out all morning and Makayla had two school projects that I helped her with. She had to make an Indian mound out of clay with the correct setting and she was star of the week so she made her posted board with pix of the whole family and little items about herself. It was a lot of fun. I love school projects. Yes this makes me a total dork but it is still fun. Later we went to North Market to pick up some buckeyes. They are wonderful. We had dinner at steak n shake which is rare for us to eat out. We even let the kids get shakes. I guess the holiday's are making us soft.

Now I am at work. Blahhhhhh! I have a meeting in a hour and I hope it takes up most of my day b/c I don't feel like working at all.

Here's to the week starting off on a much better note

Hopping MAD

I am not a huge fan of medications. I want my body to fight off or correct as much as it can by itself. I also believe in modern medician when my body can't do it on it's own. It can be life saving and wonderful but I think doctors have a tendency to over perscribe.

This brings us to Makayla and why I am so MAD. She was on Adderall (SP?) two years ago for 6 months and tried to kill herself (at 8 years old). DH and I didn't want her on it but her mother ultimately put her on it. Needless to say that day she came off and has been fine since. As I told you Makayla got two C's on her report card and now her mom and step dad are on the medication kick again b/c something has to be worng with her. BULL! There house is just a ton of kids running around without boundries or rules. This is the women that left her 1 year old and 4 year old in the car for hours on two seperate occasions over this summer. She is a terrible mother. I don't feel bad saying it. She blames everyone for why she is a bad mom but herself. The sad thing is she knows she is a bad mom!!!! There lazy parenting isn't going to put Makayla back on drugs for no reason. I feel like there is fire coming off my skin I am so mad!!!! I can't wait to pick Makayla up tonight and see what is really going on. We go through this like once a year and it's getting old. She thinks b/c Jada gets straight A's without any help with homework Makayla should too. They are two different kids.

Please remember all your kids have there own personalities and skill set. Where one excels the other may not. It doesn't mean something is wrong with them. I hope tonight goes better.

Have a great weekend and thanks for letting me get this off my chest! If I didn't get to vent first and calmly think this through before pick up it might have gotten ugly!

Exciting end to November

Well my Christmas shopping is under way thanks to some wonderful internet deals. I have worked out 8 days striaght (day 7 was a little whimpy but I still did it). I weighed myself yesterday and haven't lost a pound yet but I'm not going to let that get to me. So when I go into work today I checked my calendar and realized the rest of the month will be pretty exciting. Here are the up coming events:

Nov. 19 my 30th birthday

Nov. 20 New Moon (can't wait)

Nov. 21 Ohio St vs Michigan

Nov. 26 Thanksgiving (no work)

Nov. 27 Black Friday shopping with family (no work)

Nov. 28 AJJ's sleep over for his b-day (5 - 10 year old boys not really looking forward to this)

Nov 29. AJJ's 10th b-day woohoo

Hopefully I will keep working out this whole time and think of some cool things for the boys to do at the sleep over so they don't drive me crazy. IDK we might go skating or something. It will probably be too cold for the basketball hoop and trampoline. I really just can't wait for the 4 days in a row off work. Have a great Thursday! We almost made it to the weekend

Odd at work

This week at work:

- The are building an office right outside of mine so there is constant noise. I love it b/c I work better with some noise. The part that is driving me crazy is everyone else b******* about the noise every 5 minutes.

- We are going live on a new system today. It's our second one this year. It doesn't effect me much but all the sales people are in the office today (for training) which never happens so you can barely find a parking spot.

- My boss has been in town for 3 weeks staight. He always has to travel at least a day or two a month and sometimes he is gone 3 weeks out of the 4. Since he has been here so much he is getting all of his stuff done which gives him plenty of time to bother me. Thank goodness he is at an eye appointment today so I get a little breather. He is a great boss and I love him to death but when he has time to micro manage he does. The good thing is this doesn't happen often.

It just seems so upside down here today and it's making me want to go home. Also AF is scheduled to arrive any minute so that isn't helping things at all. I did my workout again last night for the 7th day in a row. I haven't weighted myself yet but I am going to today or tomorrow. I can't take the suspense any longer. DH's phone is acting up so we are going back to Verizon tonight and hopefully they can fix it this time. Our new every 2 isn't up till May so I am not sure what they will do for us. Other then that all is good. I think I am just going to be a crab apple today and lock myself in my office till it's time to leave.
