Bridal Pary Surprises

I made a small addition to my wedding party. So far, I had my sister (MOH) and my little brother (RB) in there, but I had one sibling missing. I got to thinking about it and decided it wasn't fair and that I really want my other brother to stand by me. So I asked if he wanted to be an usher. Of course, he said yes. He sounded happy to me, but we were on the phone, so I really don't know. He's 19, so he's at that age where it's all about girls and video games. Which happens to last until 30, by the way. But now I'm happier, knowing that all my siblings will be there for me.
I figure he can walk the moms down the aisle, then stand below the BM's place. So he'll be standing on my side. I don't know who he'll walk out with, but I have 10 months to decide, so I'm not worried about it. Fiance toyed around with the idea of making him a groomsman, but ultimatly went with his cousin instead. Which is fine, but I still want my brother there.
So, speaking of my bridal party, I just surprised my Bridesmaid (and Best Friend) by showing up at her door for her birthday. We live 500 miles away, so it was pretty special. She was so excited. We had a blast for one day, then I had to drive home. It was so worth it though. She also got to meet Matt's cousin, who she'll be walking with at the wedding. She was happy. Matt has some pretty unsurly friends (think of Moe's Bar regulars), so I guess she was a little scared. But Matt's cousin is an ex-model, fun, and totally easy-going. They hit it off.
It's been a pretty crazy day on the Knot. I think I'll finally log off and start addressing this mountain of Save-the-Dates. Yuck.
