10 month countdown

Today marks our ten month negative anniversary! Things are progressing along well. Yesterday I bought our invitation kits. They're super plain, and kind of match our STD cards. I don't know quite if I like them are not. The paper was only $77, and I got the envelopes, invites, RSVP cards and RSVP envelopes. I want to attach some ribbon some way, glue some more snowflakes, and maybe add some sparkle too. I think it was a really good deal, but they might look too homemade. Especially with my crafting skills. I'm keeping the reciept, and sitting on it for now.
I'm sending my deposit to our DJ tomorrow. It's been super slow at work (bad economy), and it's been hard to stick to our savings goals. Hopefully, by the end of the month, I'll be able to scrape together the photographer deposit.
I haven't made the final decision yet on photography. Just when I thought I did, I recieved an email with the heading: "Have you picked a photographer yet?" I like their photos better than the lady I thought I would pick, and they're cheaper, too, so I'll probably go with them instead. Today, I recieved another email that offered 20% off photos (even though I can't afford this gy anyway), so I'm just sitting back to see what appears in my inbox tomorrow! I think the photographers are feeling the bad economy pinch too!
We sat down with our lodge room map, and tenatively assigned people rooms who we knew would absolutly need one (basically, all our hard partying friends who will make the slumber party a night to remember, and our family and bridal party members). We realized that we would quickly run out of rooms, so I have a list of hotels to call tomorrow to get rates for our other guests. Too bad the town our venue is in has no other hotels. The closest city is 20 miles away. But what can we do?
We also kinda increased our budget. Sigh. My fiance just got a promotion at work, so he'll be making more money and said not to worry, but I do. We're already at $20,000, and we are by no means rich. I'm still trying everything I can to keep the bottom line down. I was getting ready to slash our honeymoon budget, when FI stepped in!
Time is starting to go by fast. I need to stop spending so much time on the Knot message boards, and more on planning our wedding! I'm feeling good at this milestone, though!
