Wonderful and Wet weekend.

Good Morning!

So I shared the amazing news with my family this weekend. The Dr. Appt on Thursday went great, still too soon to really know anything but as for as my annual went, I am healthy. Dr. asked a million questions and I think I was able to answer them all except a couple questions that he had about DH’s family but he said those could wait until our next visit. DH didn’t go with me this time but he will be going with me on September 30th so that we can hear the heart beat!!!!!! I am so excited and I know because I am so excited time is going to drag but it will be well worth it in the end.

Thursday night we told DH’s parents, sister-in-law and Aunt. They were all very happy for us and completely understood why we don’t want the world to know just yet. MIL just kept looking at me and smiling. She must have asked me 100 times if I could tell she was happy. J And that made all the worry go away! FIL was also happy, while much quieter with his sharing. The smile on his face meant the world to both DH and I. His Aunt asked if it was too soon to go shopping and I said yes. And DH’s SIL was very quiet. I don’t think she was very happy with the announcement. But we will see. Her first actual comment to me was that if I ever wanted to go out and have a day free of baby talk or talking about the baby that I should let her know. What does that mean!? I am not going to let her get to me, and that is the last comment that will be made that I don’t call her on or question her on.

I really wanted to see my parent’s faces, so we waited until Friday when we were meeting them down the shore to share the good news. We were sitting in our hotel room eating lunch with them and I simply commented on how I had a Dr. appt yesterday and he let me know that they are going to be grandparents and that my sister would be an Aunt. My mom got all giddy yelling and screeching. My sister gave me a big hug and my dad had to leave the table because his eyes filled with water very quickly! I explained that we didn’t want the news to leave the room at least until after our next Dr. appt. I don’t think that my dad was very happy with how stern I was being about it, because he would have jumped up and told everyone in the hotel that night. He tried later in the evening to have me tell his brother, to the extent that he dialed the number on his cell phone and handed it to me, I quickly hung up before he answered and gave my dad a giant lecture! We will see how he makes it through the next 6 weeks. I know he is busting at the seems to say something, because so am I but I want to wait a while longer, I want to be safer and smart about the whole thing.

As far as how I am feeling, I am so very glad that our immediate families know and I am super glad that they all received the news in such positive ways. Other then the couple sour grapes everything else was great! I am feeling more nauseous as the days go by and really do have to eat something like every 3 hours or it is to the point of no return. I had my very first vomit experience this morning when I tried to brush my teeth. And let me tell you that was not pleasant. I don’t know that I would say I feel pregnant at all and I know that it still isn’t real to DH but I know that things are changing and I can’t wait!

re: Wonderful and Wet weekend.

I came in late on this.  Congratulations!  Maybe you will be a lucky Mommy that doesn't get morning sickness.  It is no fun and entirely purposeless.  Congratulations again!
