Freeze-outs

My boss is back from vacation and grumpy from being behind and having car issues, so I'm just trying to stay out of his way and not make him mad. Which also means I can't jack the thermostat up to 76 in here just to keep even a little warm. Working with men sucks. They're always hot and I'm always freezing. I'm not even joking when I say that the only summer clothes I bought this year were cardigans and jeans because it's ALWAYS about 65 in this office. Sigh. I think I'm going to ask to be moved out of this cube and into a heat-trapping office soon.
I was getting so irritated with my DH last night -- once he gets something in his head he won't let up! I've been on the pill for five years and in early October I started randomly missing it. I had NEVER ever missed it in five years, so I don't what was going on with my brain (I've also been forgetting my entire identity the last few weeks, where stuff is in my house, and what bills I'm paying what week -- I have our bills on a strict schdedule that never gets out of order). Anyways, I finally just thought I'd use my slip-up with the pill as an excuse to just stop taking it and see how regular my cycles are without pumping my body full of hormones. Well DH decided, since we're Catholic and it's all we ever hear, that we'd try charting and he'd be in charge of it. Whatever. That was fine with me as long as all I had to do was open my mouth for the thermometer. He's freaking obsessed with it. He's constantly online reading about natural family planning and it's all he talks about. So last night I had about all I could take between that and work and in-laws and decided to lock myself in the bathroom for a while to soak in some hot bubbles with a face mask. When I went in to start the bath (and plug in my heater and humidifier) it was already completely done and candles were lit everywhere! Super sweet :) He always seems to know when I just need a break from everyone and everything.
So, today I'm much more relaxed and motivated at work. I'm also not having my 24/7/365 days a year sinus problems from all the steam and heat in the bathroom last night, so it's turning out to be a pretty good day! (Any day I can skip my pseudophedrine is a good day!)
Tonight, I'm cooking and walking on my treadmill and heading to bed as early as possible.
Have a great day, everyone! I've gotta get workin -- my lunch is officially over!
