Introducing...

Me! Hello fellow brides! I feel it is the right time to start my very first blog. As I'm sitting at home sick, I feel like it's a good time to collect some of my thoughts.

Going back to introductions...my name is Therese. My family and FI call me Tricia though. I'm 25 years old. I'm currently going to school full-time (trying to finish that bachelors degree I started 7 years ago) and working full-time. FI's name is Dee. Dee is 27. We both live in southern California in the OC. We had our 6-year anniversary on October 6, 2007. He proposed to me June 20, 2007. We both agreed to a 2-year engagement so that I can finish school without worrying about wedding stuff and so that we could save money as we're planning to pay for our wedding.

So that's us in 2004. It's our favorite picture of us.

While I knew that our wedding was far far away, and it was far away to even start planning, I went straight to the knot and signed up. I signed up for anything wedding related. I pulled out some wedding magazines that I had found in 2006 when we were looking for a bed (someone left them at Macys; no one was coming back for them, so i took em!). I was eager beaver all the way!!

I've been lurking on my local knot board and contributing to my club board (June 2009). I've calmed down since...thank goodness! But overall, I'm still excited. And time is just flying by cuz we're less than 2 years away now. I've picked a date, yes, I did. I really want June 20, 2009, but we'll have to see. Most vendors I've spoken to won't let you make reservations until at least 12 months before the wedding.

 Anyways...sorry for the long intro. Glad to be a part of a great online community!
