Got the jewelry!

Continuing from my last post but this time on jewelry...First, you need to know that I want to wear some dangling earrings and a cuff-like bracelet as my wedding jewelry.
I had collected some pictures of some custom jewelry from www.creme-de-luxe.com that I thought would be perfect with my dress! I had linked pictures to my knot bio, but one day, they weren't showing up. I thought maybe the girl was updating her website or something. The site still had not come up after a couple of days. I was freaking out because I really loved the earrings and bracelet I picked out from her collection, and now they're gone!!! =(
So I started searching the web again for jewelry inspiration. A lot of the pieces I was drawn to were super expensive and just way more than I wanted to pay. www.creme-de-luxe.com offered some really beautiful pieces for very affordable prices...and the girl who ran the site ended up being very close to my 'hood; she was somewhere in So Cal.
Anyways...I was reading one of my wedding magazines and fell in love with some pieces the model was wearing in the ad for Kirstie Kelly for Disney Fairy Tale Weddings. the model was wearing pieces from the Jasmine line. I went straight to my computer and googled and found the site! Disney sells bridal gowns, bridesmaids' gowns, and accessories!! I had no idea. I'm a huge fan of the Disney Couture line, so I was super excited with this find...EXCEPT that the website didn't sell the jewelry online. =( What's a girl to do. Well, I figured it was a good thing because I have this habit of spontaneous online buying without thinking first. And it would give me time to think about what I really want and search for more ideas for jewelry.
But the thing was, I kept going back to the Kirstie Kelly for Disney Fairy Tale Weddings site. I just couldn't pull myself away. My #1 choice were the exact pieces the model was wearing in the magazine ad (Jasmine Shimmering and Splendid). I also loved some of the Cinderella, Snow White, and Sleeping Beauty pieces. So I collected all the pictures, and I would sneak a peak at them from time-to-time and oggle at their beauty.
I really wanted to know now where I could buy some of these babies. The website had a list of stores, and frankly, the idea of walking into a bridal shop was frightening to me! So it looked like the closest store was in Santa Barbara?? That's like 3-4 hours from the OC. =( Then I look at their Trunk Show schedule, and "aaaaah" (angels singing), I see The Wedding Day, Fountain Valley. But it's happening the first weekend of December. That's soooo early. But I really want to see the jewelry, so I book an appointment. It was the same day as my meeting with my seamstress.
Some drama first: I get to the store, and they don't have the jewelry. They had a fashion show the day before, but the designers took the jewelry back. They were supposed to receive a shipment of the jewelry, but they missed UPS??? I was so bummed. But then they say that Kirsite Kelly herself was coming down with the jewelry, and that she'd be there in about an hour! WHAT??!! I can meet Kirstie Kelly and see the jewelry!
So I grab some lunch, but Kirstie Kelly comes earlier than expected, and I don't get to meet her, but I got to see the jewelry. And my #1 choice was still my #1 choice. I wanted the Jasmine Shimmering and Splendid earrings and bracelet! So I placed an order because what if by some freakish happenstance, the jewelry was no longer available, and it was still my #1 choice?? I would be sooo sad! I felt the price was fairly reasonable too. And, I thought that these were pieces I could wear again...which I loved!! I won't get them for maybe two months...I guess that's typical for wedding shops???
