I love love perusing wedding inspired blogs. It's both helpful and a bit deceitful (in that I turn my back on my original ideas). I love all the ideas I keep finding, and I keep wanting to change my mind, but...I already got some of my paper things for my invitations, and I can't return them now. I mean, I love the colors I picked out, but gosh darnit, there are so many choices out there, and some really really great ideas.
My paper so far: from www.paper-source.com, leaf #10 envelopes and sage #10 invitation backing.
One of my favorite blogs: www.snippetandink.blogspot.com
I've been trying to find great ideas that would match my paper.
I first wanted green, orange, and white, inspired by a knottie's bouquet:

Then I wanted green, black & white:

I forget where I got this inspiration board. I want to say www.stylemepretty.com. Also inspired by a Weddingbee bride. I love this color scheme, but...enter dilemma. I found vests for our guys in sage...great color, and would totally work with what I picture:

The guys would wear a white long-sleeved collared shirt, black tie, and the green vest. Here's what I found:

See, it matches my paper too. But I already picked out my bridesmaids' dress color: (will be in style Harvard)

But the color is much darker than the vest color. So I can settle for it, or try to find a green that closely matches the vest. Luckily for me, the ladies at Siri (www.siriinc.com; where we're getting the bridesmaids' gowns) have been great in trying to help me out. I just love the style of the dress too much to try and look elsewhere, but hey, I feel like I'm getting first-class treatment. I have to mention they're in Nor Cal while I'm in So Cal.
So I found this great board from www.snippetandink.blogspot.com that incorporates gray, yellow, white, peach, green (there's my orange, my green, and my black+white=gray, white, and I love yellow).

Soooo...I was thinking, if I can't find a better green match for the bridesmaids, I'll change the dress color to gray, and I'll keep the green vests.
Any thoughts, or am I just driving myself to insanity?
OH! And my parents and I also officially visited Newport Dunes today and spoke with the sales and catering manager...will blog about that soon.
