Massage after work!

Yahoooooo! I'm dying for this... it's been too long. I'm excited because I've changed massage therapists.  The RMT that I was going to was ok, but I don't think he had enough experience with pregnancy massage. I just got a weird feeling from him.  So I did a bit more research and I'm going to a holistic centre that specializes in pregnancy. And my chiro knows the RMT that I will be seeing and she said she's amazing.   My chiro appt went well yesterday.  I feel a little better each time. Wow I have three appts a week for my hip alone. I'm determined to get rid of this pain. I really don't want it to interfere at all with the birth. And like, Mrs.Racel I would really like to do a natural birth and the more complications there are the less likely it will happen. So I'm trying my best at taking care of myself. When I asked my chiro if I should stay off my feet she replied with "I bet your doctor told you to stay off your feet and to not walk. Don't! You need to move around otherwise it's going to get worse." She was right, my doctor told me that I shouldn't try and do so much and to take it easy... I wasn't really satisfied with that answer.  I really don't want to sit on my @ss 24/7.  I need to get things ready for baby! I like my chiro's answer much better. She even suggested I get up and stretch at least every 20 minutes at work. I've been doing that so far today and my hip is feeling great - (well much better than before).

My organization/spring cleaning is really coming along. This weekend, Danny and I went and got one more shelf for the basement. I've organized it as a our extra pantry. Then I cleaned and organized the pantry upstairs.  I also cleaned and organized our linen closet. Things are really getting organized. I LOVE it! It feels so good to not have clutter. The next step is to move the office furniture to the basement THEN the baby's room will be empty!!!!

Well I better get up and stretch now! lol.

ahhhh.... massages are my favorite thing in the whole world.  Enjoy... I'm jealous!

I agree w/ amccul20 as well... pilates or yoga may really help with your hip, as long as the doc/chiro is ok with it.

re: Massage after work!

I have a prenatal yoga dvd that I've done once so far. I was just telling my Mom last night though that I'm going to get into it.  Danny even offered to do it with me! hah We'll see if his offer still stands :)

I was also looking into some prenatal classes that the city offers, I think I may take Prenatal Aqua fitness since I heard exercising in the water is better for the joints.

I love massages.  I loved them when pregnant.  I perfer them not pregnant so I can lay on my stomach, but I'll take it however I can get it.

re: Massage after work!

At the last place I went to I was still able to lay on my stomach since they had a pillow that had a hole in it for your belly and boobs.  Not sure if they have that at the place I'm going to today.

My SIL has been seeing a chiro during her pregnancy as well and told me the table has a hole for your belly...very neat!
