Friday is finally here. woo hoo! This week has seemed to drag on and on with no end in sight. Not that I have too much of anything "fun" planned for this weekend. I just have been feeling like i have a lot of little small stuff to do... laundry (when is there NOT laundry), get my taxes ready to get filed, write 2 more wedding thank you cards, and the biggest thing... continue getting the condo in shape for potential buyers.
Speaking of which, day 3 up on Craigslist, and still no inquiries... i am beginning to really think i should bring up to DH again the fact that we need a realtor if we want to get this place sold. Has anyone had any success with FSBO? I just don't know how to go about getting the word out there that our place is even up for sale... newspaper classifieds? is it worth it? maybe i'll have to look into that.
In the meantime, we still have to continue throwing away/putting in storage all of the non-everyday necessities. a lot of it i really think we can trash, buuutttt... you know how it is, hard to part with things even though you know they're just taking up space and collecting dust. having moved 4 times in 3 years, i think i'm doing an alright job of parting with the old to make room for the new... i just need to get DH on board with that! for him, pack rat is an UNDERSTATEMENT! for example, he went to this party in the city back in November i'd say... they gave out these cheesy VIP passes you had to wear around your neck so the security knew you belonged there. this lanyard has been on our dresser for the past 3 months. i have asked him several times if i could throw it out, and every time he says no, its cool, i like it.... ok...is it me? the party is long over... if they have a party next year, i'm sure they're going to have NEW lanyards... i mean i guess he could be keeping this cheap piece of plastic and string for sentimental reasons??? maybe its just a guy thing. or a packrat thing. maybe i should take it and hide it and see if he even notices. or tell him the dog ate it. or just tell him he's being silly and that he is no longer in the "the party is long over, but i think it looks cool" lanyard club... suggestions?
anyway, whatever you end up doing this weekend, hope its more exciting than me!
