Open House Weekend

So we had another busy weekend... but I feel like we got a lot accomplished. Looking back at my list of things to do for the weekend, i don't know if i got all of it done, but at least i made a dent in it.

Saturday I got up early so I could start cleaning and organizing the house. I hung the towel bar i got from target (did that all by myself, i was proud, its not even crooked!)

Not long after I do this, get some other stuff cleaned up, I get a call from DH saying our realtor has people coming over between 11 and 1... which gives me about 30 min to clean up... meanwhile, he wanted me to head down to the store to be there for when the guy came to deliver his counters... so i tell him, call back and reschedule... he calls back and says the realtor said they are already on their way over... so i bust a$$ and do super duper quick throw all our junk in random places cleaning just in time for the door bell to ring. the lady that came seemed interested. she kept saying things like, "oh this is perfect" and "this must be a sign from god" and doing the sign of the cross... so i'm hoping we'll hear back with an offer from her sometime this week!

after that i headed down to the store with DH... the dry cleaning machine is finally working so we cleaned a few loads of clothes and i learned how to iron using the steam irons and new ironing tables he has... which i have to say are super nice...

by the time we headed home though, we were both tired and cranky and began to fight. wanna know the absurd thing we were fighting over? the temperature of the car... i was cold, he was hot... he then tells me that someday he thinks we are going to fight over this and this will cause us to divorce! what?!?! LOL, if we ever divorced over temperature, that would be pretty lame... i think he was just hungry and cranky and was talking out of his a$$... anyway, he asked what i wanted for dinner, which prompted another argument of "your picky, so you choose". so i choose boston market, and i get "no, i dont want boston market." ok whose the picky one??? (the guy drives me crazy sometimes!) all of a sudden, i say, i want popeyes... yes, i know totally unhealthy, semi-gross, but i was craving it... and POOF, we both get excited and in good moods! hahahaha, who woulda thought... anyway, after we stuffed our faces with popeyes, we watched 2 eps of CSI Miami and went to bed.

Sunday, got up around 11 (after a sleepless night which involved me getting up at 3am to sleep on the couch because someone was SNORING!!!) and got ready for our open house... he stayed home, i took the pups and headed to my parents house for the day... his report on the open house... 3 people who seemed interested, all liked the place, and 3 nosy neighbors... so hopefully between them and the sign of the cross lady on saturday, luck will come our way with a good offer....

Very nice.  I wish you luck on the prospects.  I would also like to tell you how lucky you are to have Boston Market, they closed down all of them in the St. Louis area.  Every Boston Market became an Arby's.  I don't like Arby's :(

I hope you get an offer.

My husband and I are evil towards each other when we're both hungry.  Food is like a marriage counselor in those situations.

They closed down the Boston Markets here too.  I LOVE Boston Market.  I'm very sad about it.

DH and I always fight about food too. He is the PICKIEST person I have ever met. He even had to get a pizza for our wedding. And as much of a shock as it is to him, I don't like to eat pizza everytime we order out, and once in a while I actually enjoy the pleasure of going to an actual sit down restaurant, but then we have to have one that he will actually eat something at because I'm not going to sit there while he stares at me eating. It wouldn't be so bad if we actually had more restaurants, but this town is so stickin small!
