Ever since I realized my work computer had an iTunes function, I've been having way too much fun selecting songs to keep me entertained while editing and writing stories. However, I had nowhere to put the songs since I didn't have an iPod. All of that changed on Valentine's Day when my fiancé presented me with my Nano (he had me convinced that I was absolutely not getting one).

The problem is that between the songs I downloaded from iTunes -- and the ones I uploaded from my CDs -- I had more than 200 songs. Even though the Nano can hold them all, I didn't like them all as much as I did when I first downloaded them (i.e. "Video Killed the Radio Star" loses its shine over time).

As our pre-Honeymoon cruise approaches, I'm even happier because now I don't have to lug my CD player and CDs from Los Angeles to Europe. (Miami to Madrid is a 8 1/2 hour flight; Zurich to Miami is 10 hours -- we're trying not to panic.) I also wanted to find some special songs to play in some of the counties we're visiting.

So now I have an assortment of romantic songs, fast dance songs, silly songs and Disney songs -- plus the following:

Barcelona -- "Strut" ("From the Cheetah Girls 2") & "The Spanish Lady" by Celtic Woman

Cannes - "Hey a Movie!" (From the "Great Muppet Caper")

Florence - "Statues and Stories" (From "Light in the Piazza")

Rome - "Three Coins in a Fountain" (From the film)

Split, Croatia - Nothing yet, but I'm open to suggestions

Venice - "Con te Partiro "(by Andrea Bocceli)

My fiancé asked if we could dance under the stars on the ship -- I told him sure -- and maybe I'll even download the song when I get home.
