The adventures of Jewish newlywed navigating through the wonderful world of married life.

A Place for Everything

Tonight ... after many, many weeks of staring at the ever-growing pile of wedding and shower presents in our dining room -- we finally made a dent. It was like reliving the shower and wedding all over again. We opened things we hadn't remembered we had even received, and came a step closer to reclaiming our dining room -- for actual dining purposes. We found trays, mixing bowls, champagne flutes, coffee mugs, plates, placemats, towels, picture frames and potholders.

Had we cleared more space in an upper cabinet -- or purchased a buffet -- we could have found room for more stuff -- and there is ALWAYS more stuff.

I was geared up to keep going, but hubby wanted to relax more tonight. So the rest of the items -- plus the several in the guest bedroom -- will have to wait for another night. We're hoping to have some family over for New Years -- so we have three weeks. No problem! Wink
