The adventures of Jewish newlywed navigating through the wonderful world of married life.

Just a Quiet Night in the Twilight Zone

New Year's Eves come and go ... but there are always the constants: the midnight kiss, the toast, the ball drop and -- best of all --the Twilight Zone marathon on the Sci-Fi network.

Dear Hubby has set up a few of his favorite episodes: one involving a nazi getting his just-desserts, and one about a group of survivors post-Holocaust. I also picked a few of mine: one about the beautiful woman vs. the "pig people," and the other about plastic surgery gone awry -- what happens when everyone wants to look the same.

We just finished watching an episode where a niece has to care for her uncle -- an inventor of robots. Now we're enjoying one where a senior wants to return to the days of his youth.

Good thing we have nothing big planned tonight: the plummer is trying to fix our pipes -- which are so old that Rod Serling was probably in diapers when  they were last replaced.

It's nice not to have to get dressed up and spend $400 dollars on an evening.  And sometimes even a simple New Year needs a bit of a kick. This message brought to you courtesy the Newlyweds ... in the Twilight Zone.
