Procrastination Methods?

by Katie

Every now and then the girls in the cubes around me and I will stop suddenly -- as if there was breaking news -- and discuss something we saw on PerezHilton.com. Or, a scene from Grey's Anatomy will pop into our heads and we will have to debate whether we think Meredith will really die or not (one girl here thinks the show loses all credibility if she doesn't  - but is the show really creditible anyway?). Friday mornings are the best because there is so much good TV to discuss. But something like Britney shaving her head or Anna Nicole dying can really stop traffic. It's actually funny because we're not trolling these gossip websites, mostly we learn it all from reading posts on our own message boards -- so then (of course) we have to see for ourselves.

Anyway, it just got me thinking about what your methods of office procrastination are -- I guess TheNest would be one -- that's funny since for us, it's our job! But what other sites do you go to when you're putting something off -- or you're waiting on someone else?

And that gets me thinking (I want to talk to my coworkers about this today, but I've been too busy): Did you watch Idol last night? Who are your favorites so far? I can't stand Sundance -- how did he even make it? And how cute is Sanjaya? I almost voted for him just so he doesn't get cut. But really, I love Brandon, Blake and the 2 Chrises. What about you?

If any of you love pop culture and are toying with the idea of an Oscar party for Sunday -- here's an article about how you can seriously throw one at the last minute.. and the food ideas are really good. It's not just your average chips and salsa!

I love www.bettycrocker.com for those of you who like to try new recipes. I often visit www.teddyandmoo.com and www.people.com. Of course, MSNBC has a great website. Two new recommendations you may never have heard of...www.cuteoverload.com and www.postsecret.com. Cute Overload is updated daily and Post Secret is updated every Monday. I used to be hooked on The Knot, but now I'm hooked on The Nest. I need more people to respond to my blogs. It's boring if no one reads them.
