TV in the bedroom?
I caused my own demise last week. My baseball-obsessed husband wanted to watch the game, but since it was on the West Coast, it didn't start till 10pm our time. I was going to bed, but because I wanted to be in the same room, I suggested he watch the game in our bedroom. I put my eye mask on (it looks like this cute one from Flight001.com -- a total lifesaver if you go to bed at different times ) and went to sleep, until...
At about 1 am, he starts pounding on the bed and yelling at the TV. I guess his team blew a big play and lost the game. So I, of course, woke up. And couldn't fall back asleep. Anyway, long story short, I'm now considering getting rid of the TV in the bedroom. Not because of this incident specifically, but it made me realize that we never watch TV in the bedroom so why have it?
Do you have a TV in the bedroom? Is it affecting your relationship? Since the TV in the bedroom is never on, it's not, but we do fall into this marriage rut: watching TV during dinner (see the other 7). The main reason? Our dining room table is covered in clutter so it's simply easier to eat and watch in the living room. No excuse, I know.
