Do You Clip Coupons?

Ever since we had the baby, DH and I have been extra conscious of our finances and look for ways to save. Every little bit helps -- which has led to my obsession with coupons. I scrounge for them in the junk mail, clip them from magazines, and search for online codes. Sometimes I find myself buying stuff just for the thrill of using the coupon. The line at the end of the receipt that says, "You Saved: $...." gives me such a sense of accomplishment!  I don't know why I didn't always use coupons, I guess I was just lazy. But nowadays when we're buying $24.99 cans of formula and $12.99 packages of diapers several times a week, the little savings here and there really make a big difference.

So now that I've got this huge pile of clippings on my kitchen counter, I need a way to neatly organize them all so I can carry them with me in my purse (...have to be ready to save at all times!). I was thinking of getting a separate wallet, like this cute one from Flight001. (*Although as Nestie edmo points out, the cost kinda negates my savings!) How do you organize your coupons? What do you carry them in?

re: Do You Clip Coupons?

I've clipped coupons since I moved out of my mom's house ten years ago.  She always clipped coupons (a single mother of three), so it was instilled in me early that every penny counts.  My husband thinks it's a waste to buy three boxes of tissues just to save 35 cents, but it makes total sense if you're going to use all three boxes anyway!  It isn't necessarily worth all the time I spend going through, cutting, and organizing coupons, but right now I do it while at work so it isn't so bad!  (shh, don't tell)

I hold all mine in a coupon book I found online, but this one you posted is way cuter (but way more money too).

re: Do You Clip Coupons?

I have three sandwich bags. One is for food, another for households, and one for restaurants. Then when I am working on my menu for the week I only bring to the store the coupons I need in a separate bag. That helps on the impluse (but I have a coupon) buying. Good luck... its so funny but I think it is like the biggest high.. I challenge myself to bet my savings records. right now I am at 24 dollars :)
