When do you put up your fall decor?

The dip in temperature here in New York inspired me to start getting out the fall decor. I have a similar mirror/console table setup with wall-mounted candles, so I used this image from Pottery Barn as my inspiration for this area of the house.

I love the simplicity of the fall garland draped over the mirror with some pumpkin and gourd decorations.

Next on my decor to-do list is to do something with the front-porch.

I'm thinking a nice fall wreath, some hay stacks, pumpkins, gourds, and maybe some of those corn husks attached to the gutter downspouts. Oh and mums! I love having a series of potted mums lining the driveway and leading to the front-door.

Part of me feels that it is too early to start decorating for fall. Have any of you done some decorating yet? I'd love to see your ideas added to our Holiday Decor gallery!

I purchased a scarecrow, a cheap one- and it is no longer hanging on my door since the hanger piece broke off within days of buying it. I HAD decorated! Also, I purchased an autumn wreath of orangy and brown and maroon (very classy) berries which is ready to be hung as soon as we move into our house this week. So, I say decorate when YOU feel like it! It's not too early! I saw someone have one of those (ugly) big blowup spiders on their roof today. GOSH!

Unfortunately still to hot down here (Florida) to think fall colors.  Hopefully things will cool down and I can put up cute stuff around Halloween.

I absolutely love autumn and Halloween.  I put up my decorations on my birthday, September 21st.  It's a fun way for me to celebrate my special day and my favorite season!

Like others it is still hot here in Texas, but that doesn't stop me from getting into the season.  I love Fall and I start decorating in September.  Everyone always has the same comment, "But it's not October yet."  Who said it has to be October to put out the mums...fall wreaths and pumpkins.  Baa Humbug to those.  My house starts smelling of cinnamon spice September 1st!  MMMMMMMM I love Fall.
